Lol if you think doctors need you. A doctor understands the labs far better than you. They also understand everything about medicine far better than you. You are there to do the boring grunt work doctors are too busy to do themselves. Your education is 1% as rigorous as a doctors. You could not be any lower on the medical totem pole. Enjoy your salary now, because you've already hit the wage ceiling for your career lol

First few days up to a week will feel fine, although you will feel like it starts to annoy you. Than soon you will realize that you don't like it at all, it's not special like when you dress up for an occasion. It becomes part of your routine and you will soon realize that that precious suit is nothing more than some materialistic uniform.

I'd take chinos + slim fit dress shirt tucked in with a leather belt and dress shoes over a suit any day.

As a tradie that also wears suits, both wearing tool belts and hardhats as a tradie and wearing suits can both equally suck sometimes. The good news is, girls/women both like the rugged tradie look (after a shower of course) or a guy in a suit, win/win situation.

I'd love to wear a suit to work every day but honestly, it's cumbersome. I'll wear a blazer every now and then, though. Otherwise, pants/slacks + polo/button shirt all day

Yeah I get it, suits look professional and such. lol @ the notion that sloots will be dripping from seeing a wagie in a suit, it actually comes off as trying too hard and border line tacky unless you have to for work and then you just end up looking like a part of the penguin herd with the other suit wearers.

My ortho surgeon was very specifically picked. I go out of town to see him.
Nobody chooses people in the lab specifically.

The point everyone is trying to get in your head is that a lab tech is easier to replace than a doctor.
Simple test, ask patients if they would rather lose their lab tech or their doctor. Im pretty sure you know the answer. Be willing to bet my brother in law could figure out how to do your job faster than you could figure out how to do his.
