Patty and I went to the NYULangone in the city on 38th street where I had to get an MRI and an injection in my shoulder.
Of late I have been extremely depressed and stress due to work (not sure if I am going to be fired or not) and not being able to hit the gym, so I have been on edge. Patty and I were the only two people in the elevator, we were at the back of the elevator. The elevator stopped on the 3rd floor, we were on our way to the 6th. A guy walks in with his friend they both had coffee in their hands and one turns to me and says can you press the 5th floor for me.
Now mind you they were closer to the buttons than Patty and I, both had one hand free and patty and I were at the back of the elevator rougly 5 feet from the buttons so I said really dude, you are closer, press it yourself.
This f'cking guy turns to me and says, you should go back to your f;king country you f'ckiing spic Mexican. I didn't say a f'cking word I rocked him right across his f'cking jaw and knocked his ass on the floor, coffee spilled all over me, him and his boy as hard as I hit him. His head hit the elevator and he was laid out, his boy turned to me and said, sorry man, I didn't think he would say some dumb sh!t like that.
Patty, to my surprised told the guy, you lucky my husband doesn't stomp your friend while while he is on the floor and his friend said I would not blame him...
The door open on the 5th floor I got out with Patty and walked up the stairs to the next floor, a security guard came up to me with the guys friend and said I had to wait there if they were going to call the cops, however the guy's friend said he didn't want to pursue any charges when the security guard radioed down to the lobby where the guy I hit was at.
The whole time in the waiting room EVERYBODY was looking at me, so Patty stood away from me...

I wouldn't even do those lifts yet... I would do pull work but not real heavy. Imo, it's better warming back up into things slowly. Just doing pull work one day will help you stretch out some before your push day.
On push day I would just pick one bench and do a simple 3x8...... then walk away. I would save any ohp movements for a week or two. If you have to squat ( I wouldn't yet ) try it after your bench or even as the last lift. I say this because your squat at this point isn't about the weight , it's about getting the bar back on your neck. If you do it last your shoulders will be warmed/stretched out much better.
Lord knows you'll do what you want though I learned to take it slow and pick my lifts wisely . It takes one bad choice and your hurt again.
Best of luck to ya....

That boys momma forgot to teach him manners and more importantly that drinking coffee may be hazardous to one's health, in particular their teeth..

That guy deserved it and more. Something similar happened to me a few months ago.I was being interviewed at a restaurant for a highly coveted position. The person interviewing me would be my superior and I was to lead 100 or so under me. He looked smooth and the meal went well. I impressed him enough where he pretty much said I had the job. We left together around mid afternoon and the sun was out. Well we got outside and I guess because it was dark inside I couldn't see his hair color. But in the sunlight you could clearly see he dyed it as it had that strange copper/red tinge to it. I confronted him on it and and he didn't even deny it. I told him I can't work under a man that dyes his hair and left. I got an ok job a few weeks later.

Was the guy who asked you to press the button the same one who mouthed off?
Only thing I can think is the guy was a racist and when he got on the elevator and saw a *short mexican dude standing there he figured he'd be a passive aggressive dik and make you push the elevator button for him.

Yes, well bigotry is on display in the leftist, liberal media and in college classrooms, and, well, everywhere everyday. Wonder if you'll live a hundred more years and still be amazed at the bigotry, ignorance, indoctrination, and desires of humans to control and put themselves 'above' other humans.
Perhaps we should pass more laws...Envy is ignorance. Imitation is suicide.

LOL but you never answered my question, do I look Mexican?
Well in the guys defense my thread did come across like I sucker punched the guy, but trust me the guy knew he went too far, he just did not expect my reaction. I saw the fear in his eyes when I approached him and truth be told I probably under normal circumstances I would not have hit him. But like I said, I have been stressed the f'ck out and he caught me at a bad moments time..On the list for Bannukah

Well, again, by HIS rules, John. Suburban guys who go to college and join fraternities (how far out can I draw this stereotype? LOL!), they say sh!tty things, then bow up their chests, then walk in close to the other guy before a punch is ever thrown...IF a punch is ever thrown. Guys from the city buy Camaros, throw quarters in road rage fits, and crack a motherfuker in his jaw if he gets ****ty with them! ; Different rules. I learnt that **** working in bars and training in gyms in the inner city.

No you do not look Mexican to me haha. I grew up literally in an apple orchard so had a lot of mexicans around me as a kid.
As to sucker punching, to me that means you hit someone when they are not expecting and/or not facing you. If you say something intentionally offensive to someone or walk up to them with your chest puffed up within striking distance then you absolutely should be prepared to be hit.
