    Initial thoughts

So, my initial thoughts after a few days of use... the product tastes excellent!
It is a nice sweet flavor; I am still trying to figure out the best way to describe it exactly!!

    Mixing, no issues.
I have been drinking it intra-workout with about 20-24 ounces of water and flavor is terrific.

The last two days of training have been SOLID!

Hit a stellar back workout yesterday - which is like an accessory/hypertrophy day for me.
I aim to do 2-3 vertical and 2-3 horizontal pulling movements, and then finished up with some heavy farmers carries on a hex-bar with some of my boys... we worked up to 4 plates, and it absolutely destroys the traps, grip, and lats!

    This morning, LEGS.
I am currently running Wendler531 and pulled my 3/3/3+ deadlift workout today - top set was 280 for 10
Followed up with front squats, walking lunges, and some quad extension/ham curls.

OFF to JACKPOT, IDAHO for our senior trip.
Looking forward to some good food and good times.
I will be back tomorrow night, hit the gym, and more updates to come!

Sorry I was MIA for the last few days.
Things have been crazy with college graduation, packing up my apartment, and moving back home for summer.
Moving, now that's a workout! Haha.

I have still got all my lifts in, and they have been great.
The pitfall of these last few weeks is that I haven't been taking as much time for my mobility, but the upside is that I have been eating good, and so the weights have been moving well.

    Sticking to the push-pull-legs-repeat split.
Today was yet another push day. My Wendler5-3-1+ bench day.
Don't laugh, but it was 180 for 1+ and I was very happy to hit 5 while weighing 166-167'ish.
Hoping to keep gradually putting weight back on and watching the numbers go up.

I have been sipping on my Rainbow Ice BCAA goodness intra-workout each day.
Today was a two scooper kind of day.
This morning I trained fasted first thing, and find BCAA's incredibly beneficial for when I train fasted. They suppress my appetite, help me drink more water, and give me ease of mind about not having anything in my system.

Really loving this product, my training has been excellent, and excited to hit a pull workout tomorrow!

I generally do full shaker (28'ish ounces) for one scoop, but with two it was quite sweet.
I would drink some, and then add a bit more water. Probably used 40 ounces in total.

    Pretty solid workout today.
It was my pull day, so no specific numbers to hit.
I like going in and enjoying my lift, but also like having a specific lift (squat, bench, dead) that I have goals to crush for that day.

First day back in my hometown gym as well (a real crap hole compared to my school hehe).
Sipped on some Rainbow Ice during my workout... put it in the freezer about an hour before and it was like a freaking slushy... SO GOOD.

Getting in there and crushing my 1+ day on deads tomorrow.
What did y'all do in the gym today?

Had an absolutely incredible workout today!!
Just came in and started warming up on deads, and it was one of those days that the weights were just flying off the floor.
I ended up pulling 300 for 10 on sumos which is a lifetime PR without a doubt!

Followed that up with front squats, walking lunges, and some isolation work - quad extensions, ham curls, seated calves.
My glutes are still trembling as I sit here writing this haha.

I play full court several nights a week.

Hardcore lifters have no idea how out of shape they are until they play full court ball

I ended up pulling 300 for 10 on sumos which is a lifetime PR without a doubt!

Followed that up with front squats, walking lunges, and some isolation work - quad extensions, ham curls, seated calves.
My glutes are still trembling as I sit here writing this haha.
    Front squats are killer. Nice!

Protocol has been the same each day.
    1-2 scoops of Rainbow Ice BCAA's intra-workout.

I usually start sipping on once I get going on my working sets of my first exercise, and polish off near the end of my workouts.
1 scoop is great with anywhere from 16-24 ounces of water, and 2 scoops could go anywhere from 32-40 ounces.

Had a great back attack today, and stoked to hit legs tomorrow.
Going to be taking the weekend off and traveling with the family for one of my sister's softball tournaments, and then into another training cycle of Wendler531.

How'd everyone else's training go,and what questions do you have about BPI's Rainbow BCAA product?

    1. How'd you settle on Wendler 5/3/1?
    2. How long have you been on it?
    3. What other programs have you run and what was your experience with those?

I was looking at the 5/3/1 for Hardgainers a while back and was considering giving it a try, but I'm having good results with Fierce 5 right now.

I like that it is a very basic program, with an easy to follow progression, and just one all out set versus excessive volume.
Crush one hard set, and then dial back the weights with a greater attention to technique in my volume sets.

I ran it for a bit last summer, and got off it (stupid!), just started again towards the end of February, and plan to run it for a long time.

I have dibbled dabbled with several different programs/workouts, but tend to hop around rather than sticking with one like I know I should.
Never heard of the Fierce 5 before, what is that?

I definitely think BCAA's play a role in sustained energy for a key few reasons.
1.) They taste great, so I drink more water, and remain better hydrated.
2.) They suppress appetite so I don't find myself hungry towards the end of workouts; that's a real workout killer!
3.) They are delicious, and that makes me happy (: hehe.

They are something I certainly enjoy having during my lifts.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend.
Mine was a long one watching softball, but my little sisters team end up taking the championship (:
We made the long journey home Sunday night, and pulled into the house at almost 2AM.

However, following a weekend away for Memorial Day I still got back in the gym on Monday.

    MONDAY
My WENDLER531 lift for the day was 165 for 5+ on the bench press.
I hit 165 for 9, which I was happy with.

    Followed up with,
    Seated DB Shoulder Press
    1-arm DB Bench Press
    Kettlebell Bottom-Up Press
    Tricep Complex
    Lateral Raises
    Rear Delt Rows/Face Pulls

    TUESDAY
Today was the DAY OF THE DEADLIFT.
I pull sumo, and have just felt incredible lately.
My goal for WENDLER531 today was 275 for 5+ and I hit it for 15 reps #cardio

    Followed up with,
    Front squats
    Walking DB Lunges
    Seated Calf Raises
    Quad Ext/Ham Curls
    Cable Crunch/Hanging Leg Raises

Gonna crush a pull day tomorrow.

I think having a readily available source of amino's play a huge role also. Some feel if you're getting enough protein from your diet you should be covered, I disagree. BCAA's always, before, during and or after

It's a Sticky under the "Workout Programs" section of the boards, and one of the more popular ones at that. I'm currently running the intermediate U/L version, which I'm really enjoying. I've been running it since January, and before that I was doing the novice version of the same program for a while.

I'm kind of the opposite of what you said. I tend to run one program for months and months and only change it after very carefully thinking about it. Before this I ran Kelei's hypertrophy (which USED to be a Sticky) for about ten months and really enjoyed that one too.

I'm seriously considering Wendler for some point in the future though, just to change things up a bit.

Yesterday, Wednesday, was my pull accessory workout.
Really felt good, here's what I did:
    Pull-ups
    Barbell Rows
    Chin-ups
    Chest Supported Rows
    Assisted Pull-ups
    Bicep complex
    Face Pulls

Worked in the 10-12 rep range on most things with about 1 minute rest.

Today was my 2nd push day of the week, nothing super heavy, but just getting in some volume.
Worked in a variety of rep ranges, keeping rest at about 1 minute.

    Bench Press
    Standing DB Shoulder Press
    1-arm incline DB Press
    1-arm kettlebell press
2 exercises for triceps, lateral, and rear delts

Body weight has been down a bit these last two days, so good thing I have some BCAA's on my side (:
When cutting is when I find BCAA's definitely provide an additional benefit.

Nice, let me know your thoughts on Wendler if you run it.
I think it's a great long term program.

    GYM Updates
Legs were toasted Friday and Saturday.
Had a great lower body workout Friday,
    -High Bar Squats
    -Hex Bar Deads
    -Reverse Barbell Lunges
    -DB RDL's
    -Calf Raises
    -ABS

Yesterday was another back attack, went pretty heavy on rows and got loads of pullups/chinups in, and finished up with the all important biceps work!

Rounded out the 3-day LEGS-PULL-PUSH cycle with Wendler531 Bench.
I was a bit disappointed, only getting 175 for 5, but the rest of the workout went well.
Seated DB shoulder press, 1-arm DB bench, Kettlebell bottom up presses, and some volume/pump work for the tri's and delts.

    LIFE Updates
Went and saw BAYWATCH with a buddy Friday night, and it was freaking hysterical!
Yesterday morning, fishing with the family, and not a darn bite!
Dinner with the family, and cleaned out the garage/camp trailer today.

    A fresh week starts tomorrow!
    How was everyone else's weekend?
