Not only that but once you're close to your bodyweight or above it, you need something to hold you down to keep the weight from lifting you up.

Absolutely, I'd consider steel bolted to steel heavier duty (and more durable) than a nylon strap. And again, not my cup of tea (I really don't like either version of the concept, even though I did the same in the late '70's with a garage door pulley, cable and a dumbbell in my basement. But, I have a lat machine.

I pinch or cross my legs under my bench when getting up there.

Given this scenario - I think I would give the advantage to Spud over any entry level Chinese steel gear - both capacity and durability.

Again not a big fan of either concept, but common sense would have me pick steel over nylon, but we can agree to disagree

Normally yea - but with the design of this being cheap steel on an extended arm vs the nylon Spud uses just wrapped around...hell the weak link in Spud's stuff is the metal clips.

Just received my sandwich j-cups for my X-2 rack and nothing was broken with mine. The welder seemed to have run out of wire (or rod) and missed about 1.5" of weld on one side of my hooks but other than they are great and super beefy. I still use my standard padded cups for lighter exercises but now my 2nd pair (I just had to have) just stores an extra barbell.

Edit: After looking at it closer, I am not a fan of how the pulleys are fixed inside the rack. Plus, I can slide my DIY one out of the way without any issues. This one looks like it may be a PITA to maneuver around. Most likely won't be getting it unless they come up with a different design. And knowing Titan, they probably won't.
The pulley on the left is mounted up-side down. As others noted, the attachment to the member is from the bottom, when it should be from the top. But more importantly, the pulley arm is angled up and the cable rubs against the pulley frame. The pulley arm needs to angled down so that there is clearance for the cable to descend to the pin without rubbing on the pulley frame.

Looks like Titan is doing 15% off select items for this weekend (starting today), which includes the hyper bench. It’s at $79.90 right now. Maybe contact customer service to see if they can do a price adjustment for you.

That whole setup looks hokey. Who wants to workout on a cable system all confined inside of a rack? I can just imagine that first rep not going so smooth as that loading pin goes in a place it shouldn't. I think a lat machine option would have made much more sense (like REP fitness has).

Spud user checking it..I disagree and I believe the Spud pulley to be the best $100 I've ever spent. Most of your "lat pull downs" work is going to be done with weighted pullups from the start. The spud row comes at an angle, it's not a true last pull down, infact it's completely different. Secondly, you can put your legs on your rack to brace you, so you can go relatively heavy but yes, you might likely won't "max out" on it but then again, that's what barbell rows are for.

Is it going to replace a lat pull down? No but the bigger picture is you don't even need a lat pull down to begin with.

I got the Titan foldable hyper yesterday. Put it together in about 20 minutes. Didnt use it in a full workout, but tested it out with a 45lb plate. Seems very sturdy. No problems at all. Decent, but sloppy, welds all around. Even the handles were fine. Put all my weight on them and no issue.
Now if I can get Titan to make an adjustment cuz it went on sale 2 days after I purchased mine, it will end up only costing me $35.
I know Titan is hit or miss, and this is just a rebrand, but they did OK with this one.

Anyone have any hands on experience with both the t3 and x3 racks? Are the flanges used for the pullup bars and crossmembers still the same or have they switched them to a heavier gauge steel?

I've been kicking around swapping out my 24 inch deep t3 for something with a little more working area.

One of my options would be to build a half rack. and I'm curious as to whether the x3 would be a much stiffer design.

The flanges on the crossmemebers and premium pull up bars are thicker. I bought the multi grip pull up bar, probably the best upgrade pull up bar I have seen including the rogue. Its finished in a grippy textured finish, weighs a ton, and the mounting flanges are actually 3/8" thick, same as the Rogue. The flimsy flanges in that come on the single pull up bars may not have been upgraded, but I also bought a crossmember 2'x3" recently and that had a 1/4" think flange, not as good as the multi grid bar but better then the older pull up bars that came with the t-3.
What I would do if I were you is buy the t3 36" weight storage upgrade. That will give you essentially a clone of the Rogue r-6, except your large work section will be 36" instead of 43" with is probably better. I have a rogue r-4 infinity rack with a t-3 24" weight storage upgrade, so similar. Then order a titan multi grip pull up bar or a 2x3 crossmember if yu want added lateral stability. I love there laser cut sides on there gusseted crossmember and that would be ideal but it is always back ordered. The t-3 is such a greta bang for the buck set up, since you already have the 24" rack just switch the weight storage to the 24" side and use the 36" upgrade weight storage section as your work section. Coupled with a multi grip pull up bar and you have one of the best overall configurations for a home gym

that's what I would do if I had the space but I am currently working with a 6.5x14 space so my options are very limited. Thank you for your input on the pullup bars. my t3 is from 2016 so it is nice to know that they have made some upgrades to it in the last couple years.

I've been kicking around swapping out my 24 inch deep t3 for something with a little more working area.

One of my options would be to build a half rack. and I'm curious as to whether the x3 would be a much stiffer design.
I actually pieced together a half rack from their X3 squat stand and 24” extension kit. I cut the 24” cross members to about 17” and fab’d a porch for the multi grip pull up bar from unused components in the extension kit. I know they have a half rack option, but the rear post are only 70” and the connecting top cross member is more of flat plate bracket. And the spacing on the rear post are 4” apart on the outer sides. In all i’m pleased with the end product.

Could you post more pictures of the rear posts lower connections to the rack plz? I’m looking into building something similar and it might give me some clues for the design.

Thanks in advance for the troubble

Okay. So the Mini Farmers Walk handles are rated "decent" to me.
    Are they worth it? Yes.
Are they riddled with issues? Yes
    So let's go
    - The dangers of dropping these on your foot are real.
You need a close stance to pick them up, as they will rub the side of your leg.
You need a close stance to sit them down, as you'll have an inch or two of clearance from the plate to foot.

    - You don't "need" a collar, but you'd be an idiot not to have one. I've walked 400+lbs 35 foot and back with normal handles and at 8 plates 380(360+handles) the weight is ridiculously unstable. At least for me, the precision required to sit these down correctly isn't there.

    But even with that:
-The set up time is minimal
-You get more room to walk and for lighter loads, you don't need collars

So you're taking the good with the bad. They cost like 45 bucks, so all things considered I'd say they are a good buy.

loadable mace is out. Welds look surprisingly clean on their website photos which often isnt the case. Wonder if they cherry picked or if you can expect that quality on all units.

Priced at LESS THAN 1/4 the cost of rogues slater slammer!

Unloaded weight quite a bit less than rogues, which isnt a good sign.

Id be a bit nervous as a first adopter..would want to make sure the area is safe in case that loadable globe goes airborne, but what value!

Looks like a copy of the Sorinex War Hammer, which has a 12lb empty weight (3lbs less than the Titan version) and is $139 retail. Not bad!
