Loosing motivation due to Elbow Injury

Few months back I started feeling pain at the tip of Left Elbow and gradually it shifted to right elbow as well. I started using elbow straps and continued with lifting. Only time i feel pain is when i do Skull Crushers or any overhead movements for triceps. I feel negligible or no pain during Bench Presses / Barbell presses for shoulder.
As the pain was not going away i consulted a physiotherapist and got it know the actual cause as bursitis.
Decided to take a break from lifting with little or no cardio and Icing the area. It's past one week still i feel the pain when i extend my arm overhead.

Should i give more rest and wait for it to heal completely or should i start back with the exercises that doesn't give pain in my elbow ?

It's really demotivating skipping weights with no/little recovery. All i need are the ways to get back to the point where i was.

    Thanks in advance.

Give it the rest it needs. I hear you its completely depressing to have too skip out on workouts but in the long run its smarter. Also thank god for muscle memory...so when you can jump back in those gainz will come back fast

Personally, I'd consider OF COURSE skip ANYTHING that even hints at pain in the elbow. However, I don't see the harm in resuming workouts that cause ZERO elbow pain or discomfort.

What did the professionals you work with recommend? If I was in your boat and I would call my MD and DPT and ask what I could do. Some general activity tends to be good for us mentally and physically if it fits with our professionals treatment plans.

Continue resting your elbow for a couple more weeks and see how it goes. For the time being you can still work out your lower body aka legs.
