Just work harder and have a plan for your life. Lol ever hear the documented history of the battle between Alexander the Great vs. Darius the king of Persia? 50,000 soldiers vs. 1 million. Guess who won? The 50,000. Why? They had a strategy.

The people who focus on the negatives and the issues, complain and go nowhere. Then at the same time you have kids making 100k + from youtube vids, social media, creating an app, starting a business, etc.

I know this because at one point I got sucked into this pathetic wormhole of "omg life is so hard nowadays, millenials have it so tough." So what lmao. Whining won't do chit. Why are their successful kids our age? Because they made a plan and beat the system and worked hard despite the bullchit being spewed all day.

This is exactly like these pathetic fukking chits on here that are FA and blame everything on their genetics and how they are doomed. They sit and wallow in their own chit and piss and others that have things way worse than them end up achieving much more. Dudes with no legs and arms are married with kids. But most are too pathetic to anything about anything.

All these wagecucks are going to be distraught in 10-15 years when their job no longer exists because goldstein would rather pay a small fee for a robot that he doesn't need to pay a wage to.
Automation is coming, and the majority of jobs are not safe. Why would you trust major corporations to keep human workers around when it will increase their profits by a massive margin by replacing them with machines?
All these people that define their purpose and lifestyle around their work, what are you going to do when you're no longer needed? Where are you going to get the money to continue your consumer lifestyle?

lol @ fear mongering propaganda over automation. That video is literally trying to push for more government intervention [communism/socialism] which is what got us here in the first place. Just read the comments... 150 Million killed by their own communist governments in the 20th century and you have people calling for communism. People advocating economic polices when they haven't a single clue about basic economics.
    FACTS
Higher production as a result of automation @ lower cost=lower cost of products=lower cost of living
The more we produce, the wealthier we become as higher supply=lower prices
Brb, let's get rid of excavators and use shovels instead, get rid of trains/trucks use animals instead, etc etc
Automation is the best thing to have happened. Small selections of people get displaced at first and suffer in the short-run, but they eventually find other jobs in the market and we all end up better off and wealthier in the long run.

    Opinion
As for the early onset of automation as a result of government regulation, taxes, barriers to entry etc (think minimum wage, payroll taxes, etc=more expensive to higher, cheaper to automate), I'd imagine it's a bad thing as it doesn't come about naturally and instead comes about as a result of government making it expensive to hire or to even start a business.

LMFAO working an after school job and could afford a camero at 16 and a house by 24. You are completely clueless, gramps. It ain't the 1960's anymore. You're a joke.

I got my first job at 14 and saved every penny I could for college since I knew my parents couldn't afford to help me. I drove a POS rusted beater because I could never afford a sports car let alone the insurance on it. Even then, my savings were completely wiped clean to pay for just my first year of college, and I still had to get loans. Something is seriously fuked with the system when a kid can have a full time job all through highschool and live like a miser and STILL get fuked in the ass trying to afford an education. GL even thinking about buying property while you're saddled with debt

It's only going to get worse from here. Cost of living will continue to increase while wages will not, more jobs going overseas. Not everyone can or is able to become a doctor, software desinger, computer hydropetrometro engineer, etc.

Just lol @ anyone having kids and forcing them to grow up in what will be an even tougher world than what we have right now. It's awful right now, imagine how bad it will be in 20 years? 30 years? Why would you force anyone into that?

Also fukin lol@ that 60 year old plumbing grandpa who started working before even Reagan was in office, trying to tell us we just need to work harder, as if he knows what it's like these days. Just lol. Its over boyos.

Also fukin lol@ that 60 year old plumbing grandpa who started working before even Reagan was in office, trying to tell us we just need to work harder, as if he knows what it's like these days. Just lol. Its over boyos.
30 years after the Great Depression was the time of JFK. Things can get better, but they will certainly get worse before they get better. No question about that.

    THEN
-At 16, I was working after school, weekends, and summers at the neighborhood plumbing shop. I bought my first Camaro with the proceeds.
-I saved like a fiend and bought my first house at 24 years old. Hardly a mansion, but to me, it was very expensive. Interest rate was 14%.
-Yeah, I provided for my family. Wife worked her skinny butt off raising me and the 4 kids. She was very underpaid.
    NOW
    - Why go to college to be unemployable? If you're smart enough to graduate college, shouldn't you be smart enough to pick a great career? My kids went into health care and law. They're doing alright.
    - Million dollar homes? Really? So you can't afford the better neighborhoods, you blame me? Move to the poor part of town, then. No shame there. Hell, my current house is worth 350k and is in the established working class 'hood.
    - "Both husband and wife work, still can't afford to have kids." Uh, but why not? Does your sperm cost too much? Are her eggs really expensive? Or is it that you want the 5.00 coffee and the BMW and screw spending money on kids?

Again, the only people whining about things are the people who want everything, but don't want to work for it.

This concludes the lesson that your parents should have taught you.

(Posting on the Internet is really boring. I got to get outside.)
    You are completely delusional.

Technology has lowered margin on effectively everything, this is due to there being almost perfect information around now. This is only going to get worse.

I dont agree with the sentiment in this thread which basically says you should just stay home and wank all day, but the above post really shows how out of touch you are.

Well managed pensions are not mysterious or unfair; they're awesome.

Rather than be mad at employees who've built up a healthy pension through years with the company/organization, why don't you invest funds, reap the reward of compounding interest, and turn your results into an annuity that puts those pensions to shame.

Why blame it on his generation? That lifestyle built all of civilization from mud huts to supersonic airplanes. It was our beta male parents (baby boomers/Gen X) and our jawless weakling generation (Millenials) that destroyed the planet. Why should he not look at us with disgust?

A big common thread amongst whiners is "you got/had it better than me" without a freaking clue on what's reality.

I'm not going to explain to the numbies on free market dynamics nor earnings versus cost of living over time. That was ninth grade stuff.

I will leave you with this that I just made up: It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

I went through a period of this after school. It only lasted 3 months for me. But I have an engineering degree so I can see how people who have even less qualifications would have more trouble.

Applying for jobs is a soul crushing experience. I can't tell you how many times I've had to enter the same information on my resume in a company's online format. It takes a stupid amount of time for a job you may have a 1/1000 shot at getting. Only to get a generic email rejection response in return.
