    Intermittent fasting

    I hear the typical IF routine is 8 hour window of eating, but I've pretty much always done that my whole life since I don't eat breakfast. Would it be ok to close the window even more to like 4 hours? Not for just a few months either, I mean like the next few decades

    It's ok but it's not optimal for gaining muscle.

    Keep an eye on the scale and make sure it's moving in the direction you want. If you like the theory behind IF (and we don't have enough human studies yet to know for sure what theory/protocol is the best) you can play around with other protocol like weekly fasts, ADF, etc., instead of the daily shortened eating window style aka 16:8.

    Been doing it for years now. Typically I rise @ 5-6am work construction get home and sart eating by 4-4:30 sometimes later. I started IF for appetite control while dieting years ago while "bodybuilding" I stopped lifting but continued to rough estimate my macros and fast every day just because convince. So long as your intake is not something drastically high like 6-11k/day I don't see the problem. I typically consume 3-6k/day depending on the intensity of my day.

    IF++ is better.

    On waking: 30g protein shake
    Noon: large meal
    Early evening: large meal
    Before bed: 35-40g protein shake, possibly mixed with yogurt or similar.
