I always look at the Caffeine amounts to see if I'm going to need 1 scoop or 2 for energy....Also, arginine, niacin, and NO boosters are also a big plus for me. And you can't go wrong with Beta Alanine. I'm all about energy and pumps. And if I can find a product that gives me energy, focus, endurance and pumps, along with having a great flavor...you've got me sold. I absolutely loved Icy Blue Razz C4 Ultimate...I would love to try the Apple Berry.

New flavor sounds very good! In!
Always look for a well rounded formula. Great focus, energy, pumps, and endurance is hard to come by in a single product. You can always stack different products but kudos to those companies that offer well rounded, full dosed products like this! Flavor is always good to but much more interested in performance!☑*CountryMike Appreciation Crew*☑

Count me in to try and review this amazing sounding Apple Berry C4 Ultimate! The formula on this new C4 iteration is awesome. An impressive upgrade from the previous versions!
Now to the question:
we wanna know what your personally look for in a great preworkout product. Is the Energy, Endurance, Focus, Pumps, Flavor, or somwething else?
The most important thing a pre-workout can do is improve the overall quality of a workout by improving my ability to perform exercises and enhancing my motivation to perform those exercises in an efficient manner. In terms of the effects that I need a pre-workout to deliver to accomplish that over-arching goal, energy and pumps rise to the top. I think energy and pumps are the two most important pre-workout dimension because they are the two that pre-workouts can actually deliver acutely and do some with a great enough magnitude of effect to matter. I really like focus effects, but I feel that achieving focus during lifts is more from self-discipline (something a supplement can't deliver) as long as the energy is there. Energy is so critical because it takes exercise to the next level. Pumps are important to me because I love feeling the contraction, and I love that it helps my mind and muscles communicate better!CountryMike Appreciation Crew

For me it's "how" I take it...if I have to drink on an empty stomach I tend to avoid that product. I like mixing my PWO with a protein shake(as long as the flavors can coexist and not taste like poopy). I generally will mix a Pre-Pro-BCAA in the same cup depending on the situation. I know there's a long fought battle between the YAY-BCAA, and the NAY-BCAA crowd, so I'm not starting that debate here....but I digress....

This new flavor looks awesome!!
I personally look for a preworkout product that is balanced and can fulfill the majority of positive benefits that you mentioned such as energy, endurance, focus, pumps, and flavors. If i had to pick just a couple that are the most important to me it would be energy and pumps.

For me personally, what I look for in a pre-workout is a product that has research proven muscle building and fatigue fighting ingredients and in sufficient dosages. As far as taste is concerned, when it comes to a pre-workout you are not sipping it like a cocktail. As far as I am concerned, I would eat tree bark if it was proven to build muscle so a product whose taste is so so at best is not a deal breaker for me.

For me what would make a great pre would be energy and focus. The reason is that I workout 4am in the morning (doing Layne Nortons PHAT right now) before working 10 hour shifts before getting home to a new born baby. Im lucky to get 6 hours of sleep in so quality energy and focus are definitely for me in preworkouts i take workouts and the workday that follows.

When it comes to preworkouts the main things I look for is a pump enhancer as well as increased endurance. I love the feeling and look of a great pump with increased vascularity ( even though you deflate back to small size an hour later lol). Endurance enhancement is important because I train multiple body parts and want to be able to perform for an extended period without fatiguing as fast. The energy/focus is also nice but not as important to me as the pump and endurance. A good flavor is helpful because I don't want to have to choke it down and like to enjoy it on the way to the gym. Apple berry sounds tasty and out of the norm for flavorings so i'd like to try this out!

I love the new product design that Cellucor has with the grey/black colors.
This product looks EPIC, and the flavor sounds delicious!
Obviously I want it all in a pre-workout!
However, for me, the main thing is just energy and focus.
If it gets me a good pump all the better, but my main priority is dialing in and getting done what I set out to do for that day!
Good luck all!Hyper-Gro Log Thread - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=166103841

Would love to review and even log this with Alpha Amino! I look for all of the energy providing ingredients C4 Ultimate contains: 6g of L-Citrulline/Cit Malate, 1.6-3.2g of Beta-Alanine, Betaine Anhydrous, Nitrosigine® + AAKG & NO3-T® Creatine Nitrate are a big plus! Taste is always a huge bonus since I sip on my pre-workout while I'm stretching, warming-up and beginning my workout which sometimes takes up to an hour.
Couldn't agree more, but after some time I've realized just how much certain combinations of cognitive enhancement ingredients actually impact the ability to reduce rest time and maintain form during stressful sets ex. AlphaSize® Alpha-Glyceryl Phosphoryl Choline, Rauwolfia vomitoria, Huperzine A Toothed Clubmoss, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, L-Dopa, Ashwagandha etc.Last edited by Juice2544; 04-12-2017 at 08:00 PM.

Caffeine is king, but honestly almost all have 200-300mg, I think I have only had one product with undersized caffeine.
Next is L-Carnitine which C4 ripped has, I do get L-carnitine supplement by itself if a fat burner or pre does not have it. Or have even half dosed a fat burner and mixed with monster energy drink. It is very important while cutting, but also when doing IF, I do not like eating before working out so even if I have to work out in the evening I make sure to not eat for 2 hrs.
As I said for me it's energy levels, and although Ultimate does not have L-Carnitine I have that to supplement with it. Would be willing to try.APF Summer Bash 08/14

I look for a smooth, long lasting energy. If I get that, the focus and pump come along with it naturally the resulting intense workout.
For taste, I don't mind if the taste is just ok (or even a little bad), but there are so many good products out there right now, so we shouldn't have to settle on taste. Luckily, C4 always delivers on performance AND taste.

Energy is number 1 but any PWO can throw some caffeine in. Next would be a tie for pump / focus. Pump to keep you motivated and the juices flowing and the focus to follow up on the motivation! C4 has been on my watch list for some time now and has the exact profile of what I am looking for in a PWO. Would love the opportunity to sample / review!!
