I've been going back and forth on getting a used King for $400 if that tells you anything. I would love to find an Atlantis one - gladly would pay $400 for one of theirs. Elite's look very nice at $459 before shipping - which I am sure is a killer (actually not horrible, $159 to my door, $84 to a dock). But now I see the new Elite "Multi Squat Hip Extension" which looks like a killer - sissy squat and hip thrust combination. I like the look but has a big footprint at 50"x36.5"

Got distracted by the EliteFTS combo unit, which I am now going to try and get Bench905 to buy so I can buy his Atlantis sissy. If I can't make that happen, I had a feeling this is something that Rick at Edge would have built, and he does. I recall people are happy with the quality of Rick's equipment, for $250 and $50 shipping to me, this looks like a good unit.
Can't believe I hadn't thought of them before, I might be ordering this one in a few days
For comparison - the Edge is 65lbs and the Atlantis (which is the nicest I am aware of) is 73lbs so that is a good sign tooBoomer Rep Crew #1

I've done a variation of the homemade quad blaster as well. Works well but I would prefer an actual unit to go weighted. I've never held my feet down with it before though and that might be why

That Elite Multi squat looks pretty cool and would also work for my wife and daughter. But, it's pushing the price range for what it is at $800.
Not in a hurry really and have been kicking around this purchase for a while. Leaving next week for Florida, so will assess when I get back. You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I personally find a belt squat more useful, no pressure on the low back as well and more than likely way less pressure on the knees compared to a sissy squat...plus the benefit of a natural bodyweight squat only weighted...but hey who am I to discourage someone from stuffing another piece into their gym, plus sissy squats take up very little space.

For chits and giggles I just reached out to Legend for a quote. Iron Company was where I got the $400 number from, so we'll see.
Elite appears to be priced similarly for the basic unit.
For those curious what is being talked about and a little eye candy:
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
