I can't imagine not lifting heavy for weeks at a time.

What's the point of living the gym life if you can't lift -_-

My lifts aren't anywhere near a lot of people's maxes on here, but relative to me, I lift fairly heavy when I'm at the gym even if it's only 2-3 days a week.

A lot more, it's PSMF but zero fish oils, zero veggies/sauces and 8 hours of LISS every day, you're meant to lose like 5-8 lbs of fat in the space of 4 days, absolute madness.

The more glycogen youhave, the more time you waste on PSMF depleting it instead of dipping into your fat stores

Here is a question..... I'm probably roughly 15% now.....still trying to cut to get near 12-10%..... if by some insane reason I decided to try this, would it be smart to wait until I'm in the 10-12% range to do it?

Also, anyone have issue with rebound weight once you go back to eating normal?

Maybe it's different for female's because I never lose any strength during a cut. I don't do much in terms of cardio either and I think that makes a huge difference when it comes to keeping strength.

    Good luck!
Is that youre total intake, or do you eat ex 1200 kcal and do 300 kcal worth of cardio?

He lists a fast and a slow way of doing it in his book. The slow way from what I gathered (honestly I kind of skimmed here) is more recommended for those who aren't familiar with what they are eating and may not be certain of serving sizes and stuff like that. It's easy for them to put weight back on because they don't know what 4oz of chicken looks like, or what a serving of potatoes actually is. For those that are used to that sort of thing, going right back to maintenance is ok as you or I are always well aware of what we need to eat to maintain as well as know our serving sizes. Again, someone else will correct me but that's what I gathered from my quick read through that section.

People were discussing it on Lyle's forum and he said take 'up to 2 weeks to get to maintenance' after the diet. Sounded like there wasn't a cut & dry strict plan, just ease back to maintenance over a week or two. Some people on his forum go to -10% of maintenance for a week, then go to maintenance level the second week.

You're a category 1 by Lyle's book. I'd suggest hopping on now to get you down to 10-12% in a few weeks. Those last few percentages are the worst.

You're going to have some weight fluctuation with the addition of carbs again but unless you go full potato and start binge eating, you'll stabilize within a few pounds of your target weight. Maintain for a while and cut again if you wanna go a bit farther.

So after reading up on this some more I'm pretty confident I can do it (obviously it'll still be a bitch).

At first I was thinking I could eat only 800 calories, but since I'm category 1 + weight training I'll be able to eat 1200 calories which should be doable. I'll start in a few months

I looked back in my records and I was eating 865 calories a day. I was lifting 4 days a week and no cardio (a bit of daily running/exercising my dogs in the yard with a random walk around the block.)

I'm also an IF follower and I think that helps me with this type of diet. I'm used of fasting and going without food for long periods of time.

I'm on day 2 and I'm down 2 lbs. I was feeling a little cloudy in my head when I first woke up...but it's passed.

Nah this kinda cal deficit is easier the fatter you are, IMO do PSMF to get to 12% then go back to ~500kcal deficit.

Just booked a vacation to Europe in a month, going full PSMF for the next 4 weeks. Starting weight: 224lb. Lets do this boyos

What the above said. The basis is keeping protein high, carbs and fats low, getting your Vitamins and other certain stuff in your diet and drinking plenty of water or zero calorie drinks.

Almost everyone that's tried this has nothing but good things to say about it, basically you get the results of months of cutting in a couple of weeks with minimal muscle loss.

It is a very low calorie (~800), high protein diet that is to be run for a short amount of time (2-3 weeks). Anyone else in??
Literally did this for 5 weeks. I took a 2 week break and went back on it. The first day I fainted at work. Don't think I'll be doing this again

Literally 2nd page of the link you quoted:

Fluids: You must drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses (64 ounces or 2 quarts)
of non-caloric liquid every day. This will help to keep you well hydrated and
    reduce the incidence of lightheadedness.

Rekt. I find most people that have had issues with this diet don't follow it even remotely close to how it's supposed to be done.
