Before going to the gym, around 3:30pm. So it should not have an effect.
For today I only took a fat burner before 2pm and got a coffee without caffeine. Now it is midnight and here I am, checking BB forum. I guess I will just have to suck it up. Could be worse, at least I am not hungryIG: @thejigglytuff

Ketosis is the only way I can be in a massive deficit and still crush it at the gym. Just going low calories makes me hungry and angry all the time. Keto and IF is way easier, if you have the discipline to get over the hump. That first week is hell but after that it was kind of easy.
I was in the "a calorie is a calorie" camp until I tired something else. The only part I didn't like was the 0 pump, that kind of sucked but whatever, I lost more than 40 lbs in 10 weeks.Eat in a deficit to lose weight.

I dropped 10 lbs in my first five day stint on this. Obvs a lot of water but a decent amount of fat too. Even after myweekend binge, skin feels way tighter.

What is in a fat burner that keeps you up? Don't know chit about them, figured they were kinda bs tbh, like natural T boosters and whatnot. But I have read about thermogenics that try to do what an EC stack does, like yohimbe and synephrine (in Lyle's handbook of course, lol). I'm guessing that's what is in a fat burner?**Georgia Crew**

EC is not legal in my country . The one I take right now is without synephrine and has a strong thermogenic effect I can feel (probable because all that pepper extracts inside ). However, after I finish the bottle I am going back to the one I used before with synephrine.
I had no issues with sleeping before so it might be the bigger deficit or a various other factors I haven´t thought of and might not have a connection whatsoever. So I will see.Last edited by ZZdenka; 03-06-2018 at 06:27 AM.

When I tested it before, it took me a day or two with zero carbs and a huge depletion workout with cardio (ketosis confirmed with sticks you pee on). But I am a small girl so for anyone bigger with bigger amount of glycogen etc might take longer.
Also the amount of carbs that kick you out of it vary. I haven´t tested that and managed to stay around 20 g max per day but some people take some carbs (even 40g from what I´ve heard) before workout and still manage to stay in ketosis anyway. You should test it on yourself and see what works for youIG: @thejigglytuff

Well, not so many options here.
Lean protein and some low carb (=green) veggie (such as a lettuce, cucumber etc.), if you have to.
Multivitamin and omega 3 (very important!)
Trying to eat as little calories as possible while getting enough protein.
So for me it is chicken and rapunzel and super low fat cheese on top (less than a gram of fat per 100g).
Did you read the book?IG: @thejigglytuff

It took me like 3-4 days to get in ketosis when I first started the diet (also checked with sticks). During the diet, after my refeeds I would get back to ketosis in like 1 day though. I didn't check with sticks, but you can sort of tell because you stop feeling so sluggish and your mouth and breath taste and smell kinda weird.**Georgia Crew**

Egg whites
Canned tuna
Tuna creation packs (flavored tuna basically)
98% lean ground turkey
shrimp
cod/tilapia
Tuna steaks
hand-trimmed chicken breast
spicy dill pickles
cucumber
broc****
spinach
celery
grape tomatoes
white onion
low-carb whey isolate
bone broth ---> this chit is goat. 10g protein no fat no carbs and tastes pretty good
fat-free cheese
0 calorie non-stick spray
stevia (for coffee)
mustard
sugar-free ketchup
This is what my diet consisted of mostly, on top of a multi, 6g of omega-3, potassium, magnesium, and calcium supps. I had to get creative and found/made some very good recipes in my opinion. If you're interested I can share.**Georgia Crew**

Can vary by quite a bit depending on a few different factors. I doubt you'd be able to stay in ketosis with 50g of carbs per day.
I'm not really sure why you're worried about ketosis anyway. Nothing magical happens when you're in ketosis and PSMF is not a ketogenic diet anyway
That's a very short amount of time. Was this in between spurts of PSMF? How much of a carb up did you do before that? How much experience did you have with ketogenic type diets? Approximate BF%?Training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

Yeah, I was surprised it went so smoothly. You have good questions!
I am doing PSMF first time now. Did not have much experience with ketosis when I first tried but I read a ton of articles about it and since I love more meat and veggies, avocados, nuts than rice or potatoes etc... it sure did sound like a perfect kind of a diet for me so I gave it a try
Can´t tell you how much carb or BF I had before as I don´t really remember. My estimate on what I ate - cca 150g of carbs and BF perhaps 30%? I am sure that all things combined (short female, preference of proteins and fat and a long depletion workout) helped to speed the process.IG: @thejigglytuff
