Well you did ask the question. Anyway, strict is strict so I suppose the above would be preferred with the intent of hitting the last bit of fat. I suppose I'm just not at that point yet.

Just keep in mind that with that caloric restriction the supplementation protocol would definitely be something you need to make a priority.

Well brahs, I decided I'm going to give PSMF a shot. Originally I wasn't going to do it, but phuck it... I have a couple more weeks of classes than I'll do this for 2 weeks or so. I'm a category 1

I'm almost finished reading Lyle McDonald's book, so I know what to do for the most part. But do any of you guys have any extra tips? Any recipes?

    No.

Just stating an opinion that fast cutting > slow cutting, provided it is done right.

Many are under the impression that slow cutting guarantees muscle retention, which is false. You can lose tons of muscle cutting slowly, if you're doing it wrong.

At the end of the day it comes down to preference.

So just to make sure I'm reading right... for category 1, Lyle says do PSMF for 11-12 days and then do a 2 day refeed.

And for the first day of the refeed, you ingest 5-6 grams of carbs per pound of body weight!?? For me that'd be like 4000 calories worth of carbs alone

That's because your image of shredded has been tainted by the enhanced athlete. In "real" life these are very good (if not remarkable) natural results. In any event, stay tuned, the series is not over yet.

Brahs I need advice. I've been cutting for 3 weeks (not on psmf) but I decided I need to do a deload this week, currently eating at maintenance. After the deload, can I hop right to psmf?

You need to include stats brah. PSMF is nutrient deficient so typically short term, but it depends on your starting percentage of fat.

Personally, I modify the PSMF just so I can extend it a bit longer. So not a true PSMF, but it works for me.

I'm category 1, 195 pounds and roughly 13-14% bodyfat. The PSMF calculator puts me on 1600 calories a day. I was going to run the diet for 10 or 11 days

I think we're about in the same category. But I have the added disadvantage of old-age spread belly fat that holds on for dear life. Fight this fellows while you still have time.

Anyway, this diet is continuing to have an effect on me but slowly. But such is the life of a natty.

Meanwhile, looks like I may have to amend the end date from July and go the entire summer. At my present rate of progress, that seems more likely. Not sure how long it will continue to work but I can still see subtle changes -- those new veins that appear.

This diet goal was to be my pièce de résistance to determine my absolute natty limit. Since I've come this far, may as well go for broke.

    you at now?
    190.
    What's your current bf?
Roughly 11%. All my abs are clearly visible but there's still some lower belly fat. Of course these are my subjective estimates, but I've found them to be as reliable as any. The only scientific tests I've done this go-round have been weight and blood values.

Also how many calories are you eating a day?
Approximately 900 cals. But I just dropped down to that this week (since I'm nearing the end) from 1200-1500 cals. which is where I've been for the previous 8 weeks. On the days when I feel I need to go over that (refeed), I walk home to compensate.
