I personally lose strength rapidly when cutting carbs, even at a short 1 or 2 set workout, all other things being equal.
My point was, proteins and fats are necessary (macro) nutrients. Carbs are not.

Also, just learn to moderate your strength requirements. Short bursts of energy (explosive) do require carbs but overall strength level should be maintained.

2 weeks is ideal in that case, brb lose 3 lbs of pure fat in half a month back to lean bulking.

^^Youre overthinking it. You should know if you're glycogen is restored. Did your vascularity return? Apart from that, hormones will be affected a bit anyway, but that's why the diet is not meant for 5 week stretches (that's when you should have a recovery week) — especially for a category 1. But don't overexert yourself just to make sure all the guidelines are followed, try learn the premises behind it and you can taylor it accordingly.
If anything tho, continue you're carb up for tomorrow breakfast then continue the diet.

Any other miscers have something else to add/correct? im not an expert but you asked for my thoughts.

    2) Is it a good idea to continue since I will still be depleted when starting? I feel like eating 2 days at maintenance then doing another 5 days would be better; a bit of recovery before getting back into it. I also want to see what I look like without being depleted to see if it's worth cutting further. What are your thoughts?
He recommends 11 days straight without cheating because he wants you to get over with it asap and to not keep losing the same weight over and over again and because it gets harder to lose the leaner you are.
Edit: i don't remember when i fell asleep but i remember going to the bathroom to pee at 3am. So i fell asleep after 3 and i woke rn, half past 6.
The weird thing is, that it seems like my bods needs less sleep now. I am drowsy but feel like i got enough sleep.

Oh and i just realized i am getting vivid dreams. I didn't remember them before, but now i can remember 2 dreams from yesterday and 1 from today. I dreamt about refeeding and was disappointed i did it lol

Day 2, at 1250 calories. 40g fats(can't do 20 and maintain hardness where it counts , 20g carbs.

Eating lean beef sirloin, pork tenderloin, and egg whites. Protein shakes mixed in there also.
I'm prescribed ********, so it's kind of easy mode on the days I take it. I weighed myself four days ago and I was @ 243 lbs. I weighed myself today and I'm at 237, so my guess is that's my weight at max dehydration and depletion. This will be interesting as I've got a Border Patrol fitness exam soon, and I'd like to drop weight prior to it but do a good amount of cardio conditioning on PSMF. We will see how it goes.

My gf has counted my average daily caloric consumption at something around 4,000 calories, so going to 1250 will be a decent challenge.

Btw, I use an excel file I got on reddit. You guys should use it too if you want.

My point exactly -- and the point of the thread. You're not alone.

All the fat on my body settles specifically on my belt line. That's the realty of what happens when I bulk. Now go take the photos, and try and keep the conditions (lighting, pose, etc.) the same.

BTW, love your F-150. What year is that?

I realize I gotta duplicate the conditions for next time. I really don't want to do this, but I guess pictures will help keep me accountable. I'm not trying to be a spokesperson for PSMF however, and realize that I'm doing it as an experiment, which may not prove fruitful. We will see.

Current is at 243 lb, Old pics at 210.

I know I said I wasn't going to do it but I couldn't help myself. Weighed in at 169.4 this morning. Seems I've been floating right around that weight for the last few days. Thing is, I'm noticeably seeing myself getting leaner. Think imma jump rope today, maybe 1-2000 jumps and call it a day. I feel pretty good today.

Although it wouldnt be a PSMF anymore, if someone really likes lifting 6 days a week couldnt they just add 200 - 400 calories from carbs on top of this and make similar progress?

I've been hovering around the same weight too, and also got leaner. Didn't drink enough water so i might be retaining it tho

This is a pretty big deal because a 1/2" would normally take me about 2 weeks of strict dieting.

So today I'm having a regular day of food (2500 calories) and then starting another short cycle of PSMF on Sunday. I'll go for another 5 solid days then start refeeding Friday, then transition into maintenance.

    This diet is pretty legit.

Just need to find out how to make chicken taste good.. have been just chewing it and swallowing it down with water because it's so bland even with seasoning.
Did you also lose your hunger or were you hungry on it?
Make sure you drink enough water. I didnt and i didnt poop/was hovering at the same weight. Now that i drink a lot of water, im having a ****ty time

Okok. Wanted to ask you, what did you have for your refeed? Just went to the store, trying to decide what would be the most optimal but couldn't and left without buying anything

That hunger from 3-6pm is brutal sometimes. I woke up hungry as fuk today too, the coffee knocked it down until 12 but I've been dying for a big meal ever since. The thought of eating some chicken and leaving it at that is painful, I wanna destroy some pizza and wings so bad. The things we do for shreds.

I gave a recipe for zesty chicken soup a few pages back and it's legit.

Gonna grab some chicken tikka from the local Indian restaurant. Everything on MFP points to tons of protein and low carbs/fat. Went to go see guardians 2 and had about half a bag of popcorn and a few sips of drink. No fuks given as we don't go the movies often anymore. Movie Was pretty damn good btw.

Second day of refeed. During the last 11 days my stomach got used to smaller amounts of food, so once again I am struggling. fuk
