Pretty good question, never tried it but one I did was like sparkling-tea which is always refreshing. Always something one can learn, I swear

Thanks. The cap'n crunch was delicious. The single serving bowls/boxes are nice because with a regular box I would definitely eat more than one serving. Cereal is more snack than meal because one serving is not filling at all. I did almost get the lucky charms one and cinnamon toast crunch was tempting too. So many delicious options when it comes to cereal. I even liked raisin bran and grape nuts when I was younger.

I'm not exactly sure how it is made. I've just seen parts but it does involve making tea then there is a fermentation process. It requires a live something or other (spores, or I dunno, something) that she got from someone she works with at the place she interns at. They are all into the organics, quinoa/kale type of eating styles so kombucha is popular in the office I guess.

I just buy the fruity pre-made ones from the grocery store. Had just under a serving of kombucha this morning with my WLS.

Update will come soon. Probably tomorrow. The last few days have been busy between studying and I worked at a total of 3 stores in 3 days (my main one, my second one and a different one). After today, I don't work again until Tuesday. Plans for the weekend are study, gym, and more study. Test is on Monday.

The fermentation process is what gives it that soda quality about it, I'm guessing.

This is usually how I do it when it comes to dark chocolate.

Other day went to the supermarket, the amount of cereal options is ridiculous. It took an entire aisle (maybe part of the opposite one-can't remember)..... organics are going for almost twice normal cereal though.

With the kombucha that is probable. The "hell with it approach" is how I feel sometimes about Reese's. It's "I'll have just one" then "hell with it *noms two king size cups or fast break bars" followed by "oops". hehe

The cereal aisle can be intense. And all can be a little pricey but much of the cereal can be found on sale at different stores or bought cheaper at places like Grocery Outlet. I wouldn't pay full price even for the kiddie stuff if it's a full box. I'm all about the sales and coupons when possible. But really, I rarely ever buy any cereal since I don't feel like using up the calories on it when I could have a candy bar... cause I'm an adult. ;-)

Super markets are intense just going to them

There is enough cereal to float in, for real..the prices have crept up over time and price reflects it. I have seen the show on these folks that use coupons very effectively, so say the least. There are strategies they use and the order of how they shop (use 2-3 carts etc), to pull this off.

Going to have a few posts in a row to catch up on updates. I hadn't posted my last couple of workouts, work was busy with a random change, and had to study. Will post about the work and workouts, then update on the product as I'm near the end of this log. Almost out of WLS and have actually managed to take both servings all month long, which is a record for me.

Quick rundown of work and workouts.

Tuesday - Rest day and worked in pharmacy at my main store.

Wednesday - Supposed to be squats, however, work schedule change affected that. I ended up filling in at a different store and while it was actually one less hour and sister got off her internship early so I wouldn't have to wait around for hours at Starbucks (no gym near this one), I didn't go to the gym by home. Instead I worked on a practice test.

Thursday - Worked at my second store and freight was already there. This time the tech was working so was able to get more done compared to last week. Though sad cause the main pharmacy manager is no longer there as he moved. Will miss him. Afterwards, I went ahead and did bench, officially skipping squats. Figured it was okay to stagger the one rep max testing so not doing them all the same week.

    Bench - 2x10 @ 45, 1x8 @ 75, 1x5 @ 95 and 2x3 @ 110
    close grip bench - 1x10 @ 45, 1x8 @ 65 and 2x5 @ 85
    incline bench - 1x10 @ 45 and 2x5 @ 80
    dry sauna
50 minutes walk treadmill at 4 incline and 3 speed

Friday - Back to my regular store. Sister had internship so I was in the area early and went to the gym for sort of shoulders. I did a couple other things instead of the usual. Then study on treadmill.

    hack squat - wide stance 1x8 @ 90 and 1x8 @ 50, narrow stance 1x8 @ 90 and 1x8 @ 50 (just counting the plates)
    hack squat calf raise - 2x25 @ 140
    side lat raise - 2x12 @ 12.5
    front single db raise - 2x12 @ 12.5
hour walk on treadmill at 5 incline and 3 speed

Next update will come very soon. Also trying to study so will try and get things done. Not working all weekend as I paid time off in order to study before the test.

    Near the End

Almost at the end of this log. I have 3 days worth left to take then it's all over and I'll be posting up a full review of the product. Will post a long review and final assessment in here, along with a review on the side

Appetite - So far, this one has been something that I've easily noticed. While I don't always have the best hunger signals, I could still tell during the weeks of taking this product that it has had an affect on appetite. That doesn't guarantee anything as can still consume food even when not hungry but it's a good in that the main purpose of the product is to control appetite to help aid in the goal of eating in a deficit.

Energy - I'm not a high energy person in general. Caffeine is a common consumption but doesn't get me hyped up or anything like that. However, I do also consider the fact I was doing some tough workout sessions since I'm trying to do a peak cycle while on a cut, which is not ideal. I may not have had super high energy but do think there was some help from the WLS to keep pushing forward during each session.

Mood - This one is a little harder to assess. It also didn't help that I've had a rather stressful month, more so than the usual. Had some hit or miss days but for the most part have kept an even keel type of mood. I don't often go high range on mood, similar to energy, and will admit there were some days where I got a little snippy with my sister. Can't quit all stress but for the most part, things were quite decent.

While I appreciate the results so far from the product, though scale hasn't been quite as cooperative as I would like this month, I will have to admit that a small part of me will be glad to take a break. I am not a big vitamin/pill consumer. Managed to make it through but will be nice to not have to take 4 pills a day. It has been an interesting chance/experience with this log and I do really appreciate the opportunity that the company gave me.

3 days left, then we reach: the end.

Very detailed postings as usual. You noted the appetite suppression as the main factor, despite not being a huge pill user- looking forward to the final review. Have a great weekend.

Oh, I try to be as detailed as I can. May add some pharmaceutical details just because I've been studying that all month when I review. ;-)

Trying to get out to the beach but sister was having a rough morning (ah shark week) so I went to the gym first so she could cuddle with the cat and stuff. It was rocky though because today was at my max weight from last cycle for deadlfits. All I've eaten is a quest bar that I had right before leaving plus was a little still a tad sore from trying that hack squat. Won't do that next week. Will either retry the 255 or 265 but after more foods and later in the day and we'll see what happens. I'll later post the video because today's reps were rough, it was almost like the chalk worked too well so my grip was a bit off. I only did 30 minutes of cardio but tried out reading the large textbook on the elliptical.

    deadlifts
    1x10 @ 115, 1x10 @ 135, 1x8 @ 185
with belt 1x4 @ 215, chalk added 1x2 @ 255 (rough) tried 3rd rep but couldn't get to the knee
    sdl on 35 plate 2x8 @ 135
    elliptical 30 minutes while studying

Growing up Dad always had a dog and at Mom & Stepdad's we always had cats so I've been around both. The cat I post on my Instagram technically belongs to my sister. I've not be set in a place or financially to get my own pet but will probably have a cat some day when I'm on my own again.

I like doing deadlifts on the weekend, though I usually have work on Sundays. Though that means I'm stuck with trying to get the rack on the weekday for squats. Oh well.

Very nicely detailed! We appreciate your thoughts and reviews! Overall, I am glad you have seen some positive results with taking WLS. I'm looking forward to your final review.

Also, in your latest workout you said you did the hack squat. Love the hack squat! There are so many different ways to stand and work different parts of your legs. That used to be my favorite machine for legs until we switched gyms and the new one doesn't have a hack squat You should try reverse squats on there for an awesome booty pump!

Thanks. The hack squat was different and certainly felt it in my quads later from the narrow stance. My knees aren't sure how to feel about it yet. Maybe later, when I'm not near max on deadlifts and squats, I'll try it out more.

Just a couple of servings left. I started filming, but will do a couple of days to get things situated since I also have work. Mid-shift today, morning the next two days and one of them at my secondary store. Also, waiting to find out about a family matter, which will affect other things possible next week. Did take the measurements today so I could do it in the morning as I'm less apt to do anything when I have to get up early for work.

On the plus side, yesterday went well. Had the second serving with a candy bar cause that's totally how you do things with diets, lol. Nah, I was going in for my test and wanted to go in happy so had a reese's fastbreak cause that sounded the best for like 5 days beforehand. And the good news. It's only unofficial at this point but I passed. So, all that stress and stuff this month, done and I made it through. Now to figure out the next steps. Maybe the cut will get easier without having that, though with all that added cardio one would think... anyways. I passed and that was such a relief. I was all smiles when I left the place. Did enjoy a nice dinner with a treat dessert but really, it wasn't crazy high like getting a box from taco bell, which I considered. Unbreaded chicken and green beans with spicy sauce and some of the rice noodles (not the whole carton) and two macaroons. The macaroons were really good too.

Update will be coming soon. Will take a few posts for sure for the final one and will have to post in the store and everything too. Then it's back to my regular journal in the female section. :-)

Congrats on passing your test! I'm sure you have major relief... such a good feeling. Yesterday, I had a Ghirardelli square with my lunch. Oddly enough I never usually crave candy.. I'm more of an ice cream person. But agreed, sometimes it's just totally necessary.

Yep, there is just something happy inducing about some candy. mmm

Thanks. It is a relief for sure. Oddly, even though I really like ice cream I rarely have it and probably for the better since not supposed to have much dairy. Some of the substitutes are okay but not quite the same.

Working on my reviews. it's taking a little while but I will put a lot of effort into it. Still have couple samples of the recovery and pre-workout to use too. Did post the video a little bit ago with the pre-workout sample and squats, which were a couple of weeks ago.

Going to write it all out first in Scrivener. Should have it all posted Saturday.

Here is a little bit about the product and some general things that I noticed while taking it for a month.

The product: Veggie Capsules with the ingredients in powder form. It claims to provide clean energy, appetite control, increased metabolism and promotes positive mood (according to the bottle). “Blend” ingredient list - gardenia extract, yerba mate extract, cinnamon bark extract, tyrosine, flageolet bean extract, methionine, raspberry ketone, green tea leaf extract, l-carnitine, inositol, r-alpha lipoid acid, black pepper fruit extract.

Some things I noticed that weren’t quite expected included my level of thirst. A bonus in fact as I do believe for the most part, it did help me get in water more often during the month. Helps since we’re starting to warm up as summer nears and it can get warm down here in LA. Good to keep up a decent level of water consumption at the very least. This also lead to some increase in bathroom breaks, but that was okay. For the probably TMI (sorry, but eh, not that sorry as we all should be adults) could tell that the body filtration system was working because of the color of urine despite consuming all that water. There was more color (not abnormal types or anything which can be found in some medications) but was noticeable after taking the product most of the month. On occasion did have a bit of an aftertaste, which helped in control appetite as well. Not the best tasting but as I pointed out in my review, we’re not doing candy or gummy treats, or even like a powder that is consumed over a longer period of time, so taste isn’t that important.

I can see a little why there is the recommendation to eat a little while taking it. Having spent part of the time studying medication and factors involving different ones, there are reasons for certain timings. It depends in part on where in the system we get the best result when it is digested. The stomach does have a high level of acid and many work better if making it past that point into the small intestines, which involve a timing factor where having a little food can help. Doesn’t have to be a full meal and how you work out the overall calories throughout the day will depend on personal preference.

Anyways, those are a few things I noticed. Final post with the “results” as far as weight and measurements are concerned will be up and mark the official end of this log.

I started a 13 week cut at the beginning of March, getting ready for summer and trying to get in the "healthy range" for my height. Here are the stats from the past month along with some comments in order to mark the final posting for this log.

Height - 4'11.5" (maybe, could be more like just 4'11" as haven't had it officially checked in many years)
    Weight - 132
Program - Ed Coan 10 week peak cycle
Current Calorie Goal - 1500 (goal of 70+ protein a day)
Other Products - rarely use but have Aminofast bcaas

    Measurements 4-3-17

    hips - 38
    waist (smallest) - 36
    waist (upper) - 37.5
    chest (over bust) - 34.5
    chest (under bust) - 32.5
    thigh - 21.5
    bicep - 11
    weight - 133.4

I started my 13 weeks weighing around 135-136. At the very end of April, my weight had dipped lower so the very start of taking the WLS I put up the 132. For most of the month, however, my weight was 133-134. I weighed every day, well almost, in order to do more of an average than base on single days per week type of results.

    Measurements 5-2-17

    hips - 37.5
    waist (smallest) - 36.5
    waist (upper) - 37.5
    chest (over bust) - 35.5
    chest (under bust) - 32.5
    thigh - 21.5
    bicep - 11

Measurements are something I need to do more often but they can be a little hard to gauge at times because you have to hope you’re doing the right way, spot and same level of tightness as before. Some measurements look up but matched or were down from when I measured on 4-21. My bust is a good example because my under bust was 33 on the 21st but back to the 32.5 when I measured in May. Obviously, not going to see much changes with not really a change in weight. Need to keep up the measuring as I go into the summer cut along with doing some pictures.

Weight and measurement wise, I didn’t have quite as much success as I would have liked to see. Aside from the occasional day not in a deficit, my body is also just being stubborn. While taking a supplement can help and in this case, there was a sense of control as far as the feeling of appetite is concerned but it’s not going to be the only factor to see results.

This marks the end of the log here. I am still lifting and attempting to cut over on my journal on the female section of the forum. Check it out here if interested: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=170158533

There's a lot to take away from it in dealing with hunger issues, staying in the habit takes some time too. You stuck to taking your pills and not forgetting that's something positive to take away from it too. Itll be more evident down the road I believe so we hope you can log for us for sure and enjoy your input and work into the log.
