So as the title states, I'm an 18-year-old going into college next year to play football, and thus in my off-season (Not doing track this year) I've been lifting pretty hard as of late, and the results are starting to show. At 5'8" and currently 185 lbs, my one-rep maxes are as follows:
-285 Bench Press
-425 Squat
-240 Hang Clean
-505 Deadlift
I'm pretty proud of my lifts, as I've increased my lifts tremendously over the past year. I've had a few people at my local gym talk to me about entering some powerlifting competitions, and I'm pretty interested in trying them out. With these numbers, how do you think I would perform at a powerlifting competition? I'm wondering this because while I'd like to try an event, if I'm going to get crushed I'd rather not waste my time.
Thanks for the advice!
