I've been offered a spot to compete in the commonwealth games in South Africa later this year but it's a lot of money, £500/$600, for flights alone. I would also need a week or to out of studies and would have to travel 11+ hours alone
Just want other thoughts on this, I would go in a heart beat if it was closer to home but because it's so far I'm having second thoughts
Thanks

I mean it's entirely up to you. If you really want to go, then go. If it's too expensive/you won't be able to miss that much school, then don't.
Its a tough question because we don't have the same info as you. If you can make up the missed classes, and get the money for the trip, then I'm assuming you would go?1st Meet Results: May 14, 2016

Aha I see i thought you were Olympic lifting at the actual commonwealth games lol. Idk I'm not interested myself in travelling to Europeans and worlds - I can just about drag myself to the nationals. Only you can really answer this bro but well done nice problems to have.
