That's a lost art these days.
Is classic board shorts or posing briefs?
I don't know because when i competed it was only posing briefs.
I actually had some good mentors and won a few best posing awards back in the day.
Here is some stuff i did on my own.
Find videos of a competitors posing style you like and experiment with the poses and put together a routine.
First be solid on your mandatory poses and be able to hold them for a period of time looking effortless.
No shaking all over the place.
These days you can video your self and see if you look good.
i recored an old Mr Olympia pre judging audio and went with the commands of what the judges asked.
This was about a fifteen minute recording.
After doing this many sessions i felt very confident with my mandatories.
For the routine i dissected posing routines of good posers,Ed Corney,Bob Paris,Mohammad Makkaway were three that i liked and then created my own.
Moving effortlessly and smoothly between poses will certainly up your posing game.
Always take a pose that makes you look at your best and hides weaker areas.
Dont do just because someone else does it.
Even with manditory poses find a way to make it fit you the best.
Good luck to you.
