After only taking up deadlifting less than a year ago, I am continuing to make progress. This is only the beginning. I promise you haven't seen that last of me!

This is strong as hell! Trying to critique the form but I can't find anything wrong with it. Back is not arched, controlled movement.

Good lifting. You do let the hips rise a bit too soon at the start of the lift. Minor issue but it'll have a greater negative effect as you approach 600#

Those 'standard' china plates are even close enough to worry about a 2 1/2. They are not like milled back yorks or Ivanco OM (Olympic milled). Those standard 45 plates vary by as much as 3 lbs. So with 5 plates on each side, it could be anywhere from 465-525 if you somehow ended up with all your plates heavy or light.Originally Posted by bodyhard
