Computer keeps freezing while playing games. This is a 7 yr old PC but I’m playing fuking Classic WoW. I tried updating drivers and cleaning out the dust which it had a lot of. Still freezing. I think it might be the thermal paste but I don’t want to change it unless I have to. It does run somewhat hotter while gaming. What do you think it would be?

The OLED Brightness setting is used when watching HDR content. It will boost up to that treshold. If you have it reduced to 80 you wont get the most out of your new OLED.

Are you kidding me?
Got an email today telling me that my 3080 that was ordered on launch isn't available anymore and my order has to be cancelled, but we got some other 3080s in stock and we will offer one of them to you for the price of your original order.
So today I got myself a $870 USD RTX 3080 after tax, $650 before tax.
So, now I have to choose between keeping it for my second gaming pc, or flipping it off for 2k usd....
The problem with selling GPUs is that you have to re-buy into the insane market for older cards.

Anyone treat themselves for prime day?
It wasn't on prime sale but after spending half my day on Amazon I decided to pull the trigger on a goxlr and a new audio technica mic.
I've had a blue yeti for a few years and it's honestly crap now for wheatever reason. People I play with complain I cut out constantly and my mute button broke so whatever. Decided to upgrade everything.Last edited by freeburn; 06-23-2021 at 02:56 AM.

Picked up that LG 27" 144hz 1440p monitor, should be arriving today. $308 shipped, all time low price and it has stellar reviews, should pair well with my current dell monitor.
I haven't gotten the itch to jump to 4k yet so this monitor should serve me well for a while.lmao I was like lmao

I have an acer predator ultra wide and it's Def awesome. I paid like 5x that when it launched lmao feels bad man. The 3 series cards can drive them perfectly now too.
How is it compared to the LG cx.... Aside from the burning retinas of course lolol
I treated myself and upgraded my mic setup. Audio technica at2035 mic and a goxlr.
The goxlr is awesome but it Def doesn't drive my headphones (250ohm dt990 pro) very well. It's pretty good but my sound blaster ae7 sound card is way way better so I am just using the goxlr for the mic input now basically. Still fun for sampling, and controlling the audio levels is really nice. But for sure beware if you're driving a studio headset it may not be enough.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Since I got my 3080 in my rig I've been having crashing issues, blue screens, games crashing with no errors (OW, COD, CSGO, even Runescape)...
I've reinstalled windows twice.
I've reinstalled the drivers more times than I can count.
I've used DDU, I've used google-fu...
Some time ago I read about the LTSC versions and how stripped down they were. Yesterday was a breaking point after CSGO started exiting without any errors during a match.
Will be interesting to see if the LTSC version will be better with less M$ junk.
The overall fluidity of the system is already much better. In addition to running LTSC 2019 and the latest updates I did tweak it with privacy.sexy where I selected the limitations which seemed appropriate. (And the LTSC 2019 version will receive updates til 2029 so that's not a problem)
