Impressed with the overall win. Not upgrading from my 3600, but in a couple years when I can get a 5900x for 200-300 used I will be jumping on it.

- Was installing CEMU, found out games were playable on Direct x but not Vulkan for over a year and you were only able to do it on Nvidia but for a whole year if you were on AMD you couldn't run anything but Vulcan support aka AMD until some random modders made a patch. In general who ever had AMD was 1 year late to be able to do something Nvidia could already do.
- To this day people playing VAM on AMD CPUs have to turn down physics rate and graphics to medium to run on Ryzen while Intel can run the equivalent load on Ultra. Simply because its still in development and they are working on everything else but support for a 2nd CPU brand.
None of these scenarios are a problem on Intel.
Ryzen would have to dominate for 10 years straight like Intel did to be the smart purchase choice brand. And that's not gonna happen since they keep massively leap frogging each release. Thats what you guys want right? competition? lol
Rocket lake is gonna blast off and leap frog this again. AMD will always suffer for being so behind for so long unless they can be ahead for years and years to the point the software landscape changes to benefit them first and foremost in any and all scenarios that are early release or small developer teams that can only focus priority on one set of drivers.
AMD is only for people who only play stuff that isn't from indie developers and only stick to a few mainstream titles.Last edited by KingSWRV; 11-06-2020 at 02:18 PM.

What motherboard would you recommend for a new build with a 5600x? Don't really need WiFi not sure what features I should be aiming for.
MSI B550-A PRO and Asus ROG STRIX B550-F are the ones I'm considering at the moment, mostly because they're near the top on pcpartpicker haha and seem to have most features I need.
I can spend more for more features or x570 if it is worth doing.★★★ I was part of the Ultra 2013 Thread Crew ★★★

It is but I have to say the best thing i ever did for my pc setup was get all my fans syncd together with software so I can control them exactly how I want. Icue has come a long way and is in my opinion pretty great to control your stuff with. Its not the buggy trash it once was. I almost never have problems with it now.

looks like my CF791 no longer can keep up with my new PC
hitting 100 frames on all games on maxed settings now
between these two options:
any thoughts? anyone own them?
can get them both for the same price of around $1,100 USD ea so it's just a matter of whether I want more vertical or horizontal depth I guess+++ Positive Crew +++

Wont receive my 3080 before january.
Disappointed with the information flow from one of the most reputable (enthusiast) shops in Scandinavia.
The positive is that my mobo wont receive its bios update before january so I have time to decide if I shall buy the 5600X or 5900X (and of course, let them restock).
And, nice setup PositiveCrew
I went with a different setup, a 32" curved Dell S3220DGF (VA, 2k, 165Hz, 99.7% sRGB), top-stacked is a Dell U2715H (IPS, 2k, 99% sRGB) and the bottom one is an Asus PB279 (4k, 100% sRGB, IPS). Using the stacked ones mainly for work.

Lmao, managed to put in an order for a 6800, but not a 6800 XT.
Then I check the reviews and the laughable benchmarks when you compare price to performance.
They even sold the cards marked up from the MSRP, the MSI 6800 I had purchased was marked up by 21% over MSRP.
Cancelled and will continue waiting for my 3080. The price I paid for the 3080 can't be beaten, unfortunately (Can't cancel since I got the first launch price in addition to a 10% coupon).
Edit:
Wide variation in benchmark results.
Will be interesting to see what happens with third party cards and more mature drivers.Last edited by MrJensenn; 11-18-2020 at 06:49 AM.
