    Brb no players "resting"

Brb no politics being shoved down our throats

Brb annoying tool bags like Draymond Green

Brb the championship isn't predictable as fukk

I watch 3-4 games a week. So try again. I would pick watching a regular season top matchup over watching the NBE finals. That league is dog chit.

Oh man one person's anecdotal evidence? Man I'm gonna draw conclusions based on that...

So let's take a look at general TV ratings:

    http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/D...B-viewers.aspx

CBS led all nets this season, averaging 1.47 million viewers for its weekend telecasts. That figure is down from 1.64 million viewers last season and 1.8 million viewers for the ’13-14 season. ESPN also is down again after averaging record numbers in ’13-14. The net’s men’s college hoops games drew 1.23 million viewers, down from 1.38 million viewers in ’14-15. ESPN did see a gain for its “Big Monday” telecasts, which featured a doubleheader of ACC and Big 12 games. That doubleheader window averaged 1.48 million viewers, up 9% from last season. ESPN Thursday night windows also were up 10% this season. Despite the drop, ESPN still managed the four most-viewed regular-season games of the season, led by North Carolina-Duke on March 5 with 3.17 million viewers.
From a year ago but good enough.

Now let's look at the NBA:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nation..._on_television

Average rating of 2.3. Their top rated games were over 3x CBB's top rated games.

I prefer college hoops over the NBA. I'll catch an NBA game once in a while, usually if there's not a good college game or hockey going. Teams from the NBA I won't sit down and watch are the Cavaliers, Warriors and Clippers.

As for the ratings...People pass away and the younger crowd just follows what they want to imitate. I use to be all about the NBA but once I grew older I've noticed the difference. The pace is way better and I don't have to see LeBron, Chris Paul or Draymond Green crying every single play.

NBA is complete trash except for the finals. I don't watch any of it except the WCF and then the Finals. ECF isn't worth watching because the east is trash.

With NBA finals we see teams that have played each other before at least once in the season. With NCAA tournament, they meet up with teams they have never faced, which makes it such a crapshoot to predict the outcome. Lots of surprises. However, throughout the season I prefer to watch NBA games over college just because those guys are freaks of nature (in a good way - incredible athletes). NBA games have more of a wow factor. Not taking any respect away from college players, though.

I like basketball so I watch both. The tourney is epic, but so is the NBA Playoffs. LOL at people calling those predictable. We've had 4 different champs in 4 seasons in the NBA. Nobody has it locked down this season either. Golden State actually got worse not better.

I can't remember the last time I watched a full regular season NBA game. I might check out the last 2 minutes of a close one, but other than that, no thanks jeff.

I just find it so boring. I don't know if they still do this, but I have never seen another sport where music is played during the game itself. Like is the game that boring that they have to blare chitty pop and rap music over the loudspeakers to keep people entertained? This leads me to another point: the crowds at NBA games are atrocious. There are no chants other than the forced "DE-FENSE" (which no one participates in). People are buried in their phones taking selfies and posting chit to instagram and facebook, occasionally clapping when there's a breakaway dunk. Student sections at NCAA games chit all over NBA 'fans.' It's not even close.

But I do enjoy NBA playoffs, and I think those games are better overall than the NCAA tournament games. I just can't stand the NBA's regular season.

I prefer college, even watching mid-major conference games. Watching freak athletes in NBA games gets old after a while, so its easy for me to appreciate the mortals in those conferences.

College Basketball is an inferior product from top to bottom. March Madness is awesome because gambling gives one a rooting interest in every game. That's it.

College is better product in recent years when they FINALLY dropped the shot clock down to 30 seconds ( 35 was horrible ) , so the pace has picked up some.

but don't kid your self. NBA has hordes of die hard fans, including millions of kids and teenagers that think curry is a bad ass , harden is the GOAT , etc etc.

Regular seasons NBA lasts for ever and has some stink bomb games, but the ratings just destroy college ball

In what alternate reality is CBB a better "product"? Surely you jest.

2017 CBB is better than 2014 ( and prior) CBB , with the 35 sec shot clock, and loads of 55-52 close games

Depends what you mean by product.

Talent? Absolutely. I don't think anyone would deny that. NBA players are much better and play a smoother game.

But product from an entertainment standpoint? I would say no. Yes I'm technically watching "worse" basketball. Way more mistakes and sh*t clearly.

But there's something more fun about it to me. I actually wish they'd get rid of the 1 and done. Either let them jump straight to the NBA or make them commit to at least 2 years in college. I think forcing them to go 1 year is dumb and that has taken away a bit from college ball.

I'm completely ok if the better players want to jump straight to the NBA. College ball did just fine in terms of entertainment back then (if not better), don't see why it wouldn't survive now.

March Madness is awesome because it's a huge single elimination tourney.

Nba is a chit and a watered down product of what it was a couple years ago. You have players sitting out without injuries during nationally televised games. There is literally no point to watching regular season games anymore. I only watched to see if knicks can at least be a 6th seed, didn't happen and stopped watching. Everyone knows it will be cavs vs gsw or spurs in the finals. Maybe clips. Chit is a joke now. Fuk Adam silver ( bring back the jew Stern) for allowing these guys getting millions of dollars a year to sit out games without injuries for nationally televised games.

Bolded is what I meant, yes. Entertainment value is subjective, I agree.
