I started bulking 2 months ago today.
I know in first-year muscle growth I can expect to gain 2lbs of muscle per month (max).
I started my bulk at 168lbs. I now weigh 185lbs.
So let's say I stop bulking at 189lbs after 3 months (equalling +6lbs muscle gain) then begin cutting. Should I cut down to my original weight + the muscle gain? (=174lbs)? I assume that makes sense?
I'm extremely pleased with my bulk so far but I know I didn't bulk slow enough which means I'm almost ready to begin cutting.
Just wanted to make sure my assumptions were correct with the idea of cutting down to original weight + muscle gain.
(I don't have an overall target weight, I'm just going by how I look and when I'm satisfied, I want to do a few bulking/cutting cycles to achieve this).
