You work with the tools you were given. If I had a stone giant 5'8" frame I would be in the pub towering over my mates and picking the best of the chicks. Instead I crawl under a barbell and do what gargoyles were built to do.

Today's workout, 80% of max for as many sets of 5 as I can get. Aiming for 6-10 sets.
Then 5-6 heavy incline followed by a crossfit wod. 8 strict pull-ups, 8 30" box jumps 12 70lb kettle bell swings. As. Any rounds as possible in 20 min.

My only issue with slingshots and shirts is I think it's best to let the joints and muscles build to get to that weight. If I go putting 550 up when I can only do 500, I just think that's a recipe for an injury. That's my opinion as many use them and they never get hurt. I just chose to be patient and build it the old fashion way.

I agree, but a lot of the strongest people in the world are training with the SS. I won't even speak to the shirts as I feel like equipped lifters need there own fed.

I stopped concerning myself with entering when both weight classes that I've been in the last 3 months put up over 300lbs lol

Feels good throwin up that 525 in a SS.. the good ole days when I wasn't so old and weak.

lol. Yea. I didn't even notice it until after I watched it on video (was really focused). I took the video off though, as I wonder if it'll even count, or if I'll even place well. Currently weigh 270. Maybe next year (going for 500).
