    531 deloading over 2 weeks

I had a weeks vacation and then I got sick for a week and just did some really light workouts. Now somehow I’ve come out of sync with the 531 program after adjusting some of the weights. (I’m using the android app).

DLs and Bench are on week 2 of the cycle and squat and press are on week 1. This means I will be deloading the lifts on different weeks instead of deloading everything in one week.

I’m thinking it can’t make any big diff in the long run and in fact might be ok to deload this way as well as not having all the heaviest lifts (the 531 sets) on the same week.
Anybody can workout for an hour but controlling what you eat the next 23 hours is the real task.

Wouldn't it make sense to simply start a new cycle? You got plenty of deload if you were away for 2 weeks. If you start with week 1 of a new cycle now, everything will be nicely in sync.

Disclaimer: I haven't used 5/3/1. Only read up about it recently, out of interest.

Ive known people who deload the lifts on different weeks. In theory is makes sense but personally I always liked having a complete week of lighter lifting, especially as I got deeper into the program. Either way you chose you're not locked in to anything. Do what works best for you by trial and error.

***Disclaimer I ran 5/3/1 BBB for 18 straight cycles and off and on later.
