I started watching the news closely over the weekend about the outbreak in Euroupe. I sold out everything toward the end of the day Monday.


I picked up up a little GILD yesterday @72 per share, I'm up a little over 2.5% now. I have a chit ton of cash waiting for reentry.

What are you looking for to find and buy closer to the bottom? What sectors will rebound first?

I'm not scared of the virus in terms of dying but the likelihood we will see lock downs, event cancellations, or other major economic stoppages is going to put a major damper on business. The supply chain is all phucked and that is going to take a while to sort out.

Possible. It feels like all the bears are done selling for now unless a significant update of coronavirus happens. Bulls having been waiting to buy and looks like hitting the 200MA was a buy signal

The bulls do want to buy that is why we see the wild swings.

My original plan is to sit out for 3 weeks however I am still looking for value. If I find the right opportunities I think I would jump in pretty quick.

This sell off is due more to the rise of Bernie than the coronavirus srs. I mean it’s been in the news for over a month! Bernie is scaring foreign investors. A communist president won’t be good for their investments, but we Americans know he will never reach the Oval Office so buy the dips.

You bought puts at the peak (when market was up 400 points) and are in the red? You sure you didn't buy calls on accident? Puts are on the right hand side of the columns on the option chain....

Yeah I just had bad timing and bought the put when it was at its peak. Luckily, I woke up and saw that SPY was pretty low so I said fuk it and sold it for a small gain (it's been going up). I'm back to what I started with minus my gains and went bearish today. Chit looks like the government is pumping hard.

Made a lot on GILD calls. Put the profits into the stock..

I'm looking into buying some apple and carnival once the dust settles. Maybe even some SPCE

I'd be careful. If we see another 3% drop a lot of the funds that are leveraged will be forced to sell and we could see another 1-2k point drop.

I like looking at monthly charts. So if we close tomorrow below 25,744 then expect to see 21,000-23,000 for the bottom in March.

I'm not so sure. This is the largest disruptions to supply chain I have ever experienced and we have still not seen what cdc plans to do in terms of real action to stop / slow the spread. We were already close to being oversold so I think a 15% - 20% sell off is realistic.

There are alot of companies that are backlogged on components for final assembly now as well. This back log is going to prolong the real recovery. This one might take a few months boyos.

I am targeting apple as they have the capital reserves to pass through this the easiest. When I find my reentry point they are at the top of my list.
