Ethereum hasn't done anything to Bitcoin. They are running parallel with different intents and purposes.
I also think that blockchain is not yet on a public level of awareness. Once your grandma or 12 year old nephew talks about buying Ethereum or Bitcoin like AAPL, then it's time to sell.

...You should see how many posters have accidentally wandered into this thread talking about cryptos in the last couple weeks. I should think that would about be the equivalent of what you are looking for. I legitimately called it before the big downturn before the SEC or whatever blocked the altcoin Winklevoss ETF decision. Look page a couple pages (or in the previous rendition of this thread on the last couple pages.)
EDIT:
Top buy for this week? Looking at:
GDX -Play on dollar weakness
XLE - Bet on oil remaining profitable/dividend remains intact
DB -Value play?
TGT - long term play assuming there will be a sector bounce at some point later on.Last edited by RobParks2M; 03-26-2017 at 09:48 PM.

Perhaps you see something short term, but to me all I see in the announcements from ENTA is hep C shiet which is nearly worthless. Gilead has the market on HepC drugs and it is curing everyone with it (epclusa FTW). Once the baby boomers with hepC either die off or are cured the market is obviously going to dry up. Any company still wasting money in that sector should be shorted at this point. This is a big piece of why Gilead stock has been dropping.

FCX as well as other industrial miners are down today due to concerns about Trump's ability to get his infrastructure spending plans through Congress.
If the failure to get the AHCA through a Republican majority Congress is indicative of the viability of future legislation, it could result in a further drop in the industrial mining sector. Ultimately I think that his tax cut proposals and infrastructure spending bills will be approved, likely with bipartisan support to boot
I'm buying the dip

Markets are giving a topping out pattern which leads me to believe it's time to retest significant support levels before advancing to ATHs. I bought SPY 227puts at 0.65 while it was 233.6.

I think everything hinges on the French elections in May. Le Pen is gonna win and that'll destroy the EU and our markets will rally. But first we need a sell-off and that's what the market seems to be charting. This bounce in the Euro is much necessary in order to create the energy for the collapse following her victory.

I work for an investment bank in M&A, so stocks aren't exactly my primary focus but I keep up to pace. I really do the minimum outside of work in terms of actually trading, I just set up long term investments because I am obligated by law to disclose my occupation and get any personal trades I do precleared by compliance. Conflict of interest and the like are a bitch and it isn't worth risking my job or worst case, prison for.

15-30 minutes a day max. Check market when I wake up or at open, check at noon, and usually around close. If I find something interesting or worth looking in to I'll take the time later at night. Using the app on my phone makes everything super easy so I don't spend much time during the day. But doing this every day for a year or 2 you start to get a decent idea of where certain companies are.
However I'll end up wasting 1-2 hours in a day if I am trying to get into a trade or get out and looking for enter/exit points. Or if there something that will cause a big move I'll try and keep an eye on things since I don't use stops like I should.Fitness connoisseur

Honestly don't know, of course it's been legal medically for a while. However, it's slated to be legalized recreationally next year for the entire country, with legislation being put out in the next 2 weeks. Needless to say, this is going to be a massive market if it takes off. Not only that, but one of the main companies (Canopy Growth, Ticker WEED and OTC:TWMJF) already has partnerships and is shipping it to Brazil, Australia, and Germany.
IMO, it's worth looking into, the stock value is still relatively low at this point(was higher a couple months back, should recover nicely now that legalization is nearly formally announced.)

I'm still confused by the ex dividend and record date.
I sold RGR. settled on the 17th.
RGR ex date 15th, record 17th.

That one seems like the best play... Weed is going to be massive, however they all seem to have dilute the fork out of shareholders, have so many shares outstanding...and each one always has a problem
Canopy selling sheeety weed for high prices.
I think ACBFF has the best quality, but again all their finances don't like up.
