the other guys might say differently. But honestly I feel like you should have been around 160 at end of cut. You looked jacked in first pic

    Appreciated!

Advice is appreciated, trying to slim down. Been on a calorie deficit for a while now, about 1500 cals a day. 140g protein atleast. Haven't been doing any weight lifting, apprehensive about going to the gym currently, I get about 10,000 steps a day.

    I am 5 Feet 9 Inches (175 cm)

after pics maybe 15%? anyone want to confirm? i want to be able to finally say i've hit 15% lol

i guess it's time to start gaining mass again, does this sound like a good plan?

    1. eat in a 100 calorie deficit for a few weeks, see if i can squeeze out any gains (probably not but it's worth a shot)
    2. increase calories by 200 (basically between maintenance and a very slight surplus), keep eating like that as long as i'm making progress
    3. after milking my fat-free gains, finally transition to a 200-250 surplus
    4. start cutting again in may (this is enough time to make decent progress, right?)

also, thoughts on my cut progress overall? yay or nay?
Sorry I missed this. I would actually say your "before" is in the 23-25% zone, and after you're in the 13-14% range. Nice job dude. You're in a good spot if you want to start lean bulking, keep it to 1-2 lbs per month.

You need to stop cutting if you're not currently strength training, you're just going to hurt your physique even more. You're carrying a lot of fat and have little to no muscle, and whatever muscle you do have you risk affecting by being in a deficit without appropriate strength training. You're over 20% bodyfat, its time to start throwing around some weights.

I think you should talk to a therapist if you feel like you need to lose weight... I'm 5'9 and 160lbs and I feel like I couldn't survive at 150lb lol

You are in a dangerous place. My brother had an eating disorder and well he isnt here anymore... either take squids advice or see a therapist if you seriously consider dropping more weight.

I have some recent progress pictures in my bodyspace. Interested in an estimate BF. I'm thinking about 20%. I'm currently cutting to try and get down to 170ish lbs then going to try and stick around that and build muscle for a while. Sorry but my front view one might be hard to read because I was flexing.

I would guess you are around 17%ish. Sure losing 8lbs of only fat might put you in a good spot to bulk.

Keep your intensity high and focus on your macros also get plenty of activity outside of working out.

Thank you. I intend to bulk in the future but I just wanted to try and finally get a six pack if possible. Been a goal of mine for a while now and I usually try to get close and give up then dirty bulk.

great job on weight loss so far! I have no idea what bf% you are and it probably doesnt make too much of a difference to focus on that number.

Just keep doing what you are doing and make sure you are strength training! Kill it bro! Gl

Post a RELAXED pose, non-flexed shirtless front facing photo with your arms down at your sides.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

    Estimates?

Hi, I deleted my previous post and decided to repost it because I wanted to make it easier by attaching my current pics in the thread. That way you all don't have to go digging through my profile and reading dates on my pics to figure out which ones are current. Since January I've lost about 42 lbs, mostly through cardio. I only started strength training a few months ago as an add on to my cardio because I felt myself getting a lot weaker.

I'm curious what my BF% is so I can mathematically set an appropriate weight goal to switch from cut to maintain, then ultimately bulk. I am guessing my goal should be 170-175lbs, but I have no idea really. Any help would be appreciated. Most of my fat seems to stay in my stomach and rear flank area. My legs seem to be lacking a lot of fat, but I am not really sure how to tell. I do feel like my BF is lower than a lot of people at my height/weight based on pics I've found.

    Age: 38
    Height: 5'8"
    Weight: 188lbs

    Thanks all!

Harder to say due to lose skin, but I would say 25% or so.

Thank you. I guess I need to shoot for 160-165lbs instead of 170-175. I appreciate it.
