I'm biased for Link's Awakening since it's in my top-3 favorite games of all time ever since i was a kid lol
but it's a remake that stays very faithful to the original (thankfully), so if you liked the OG you'll like this
the art style is also beautiful, really well done
there are a couple of small things I didn't like about the remake so far:
- you can't map your sword, I would've liked to be able to map 3 items instead of 2
- the blurry effect on top and bottom of the screen in the overworld, why did they do this? I noticed it in the trailers and stuff but I figured this wasn't the finished product, turns out it was+++ miscin' at work crew +++

I've only beaten Prime and fusion myself. This one seems like t will be just as fun so far. Played a lot of zelda, but never finished lttp. Had it on an older phone, but it got stolen and never got to finish. Was a pain in the ass trying to play usung touch screen controls, so I'm glad for an actual controller this time.

almost finished Link's Awakening and it really is amazing
except for the occasional frameratedrop and the blurry edges of the screen (this is an artistic choice though, no technial issue) it's close to perfection imo
I recently had a playthrough of the DX-version for GBC so it was fresh in my memory and they really did an amazing job to keep faithful to to original, everything is still so recognizable and the couple of changes they did make are all improvements (+ some small new additions as wel like the Nintendo figurines and dungeon maker)
I do wonder how I managed to complete this game as a kid, in English, with no guide or internet
did take me months to finish back then, now close to 100% in a weekend lmfao+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Goose game is awesome. From what I've read I think I'm at the last level already so it is quite short for the price but personally I think it's worth it. Great art style and creative puzzles. It's the sort of game that's just as fun to watch and suggest actions as it is to play. I'd recommend it but like I said I love geese so they would've had to **** it up pretty badly for me to be upset.
Gf started off but quickly handed the controller off - she never really played video games but enjoys watching me play this and BOTW. Doesn't enjoy watching me play the old NES and SNES games though lol.
Link's awakening was one of my favorite GBC games back in the day. Is there an option to switch between the new updated graphics and the classic version? The 60 dollar price tag feels steep to me but I sort of want to snag it...Green Tea Crew

Don't think I played old awakening. My earliest Zeldas were Ocarina and Oracle of Ages. What was the main gimmick in awakening?

no there is no option to play the OG version, only the remake
(would have been neat if it was an unlockable after finishing the game or something, but it's not unfortunately)
you run shipwreck and wash ashore an island where a giant egg sits on top of a mountain
turns out the windfish is sleeping in the egg and you need to collect 8 instruments to wake him lol

I might get Goose Game. Thanks for the recommendation.
Watch this -
I am currently playing the GBC version. I was gonna ask if it's worth playing the GBC version right before playing the Switch version. The answer to this question for me is, do you see the following line at all in the game: "This is too heavy to lift with your bare hands"
-

only if you try to lift something before obtaining the power bracelet if I remember correctly (and you have to actively press the A-button)
once you have the bracelet it is always equipped so it's never shown again
guardian acorns and pieces of power still give the text every time though, but it's skipped a lot faster on Switch compared to GBC lol
I'm glad I did a GBC-playthrough recently so it was fresh in my memory and you can really see the love and respect for the original that was put into this project

I am piiiiiiiiiiissssssedddddddddd..
So that Hori controller I posted above that I had pre-ordered, which they said was guaranteed to be delivered to my house by September 20th... Well on the 20th I got an email saying that it hadn't even shipped yet because they still hadn't come in stock, and they STILL are not in-stock and there's no ETA for when that'll happen.
Soooo basically never trust pre-order dates, because they can't even guarantee their stock.

Was coming in here to post about this!
Got Zelda and Astral Chain for 70 bucks too. Was literally about to walk out the door to drive to walmart and buy zelda for full price anyways. Thank god for always checking slickdeals.
Know nothing about Astral Chain just picked it up since it was technically free hope it doesn't disappoint.LA misc crew

What are must haves to make sure I don't fuk my Switch up with scratches, drops, water, etc. etc.
Already slapped a screen protector on it, and got a traveling case.2014 Misc Resolution: Negging no pics (screen captures of text don't count as pics)
