if the switch had a virtual console of some kind that would be perfect. like a virtual console of all their old systems. idk why they make it so hard to access their legacy content....i know there is nso but only a few select titles that you can rent and pay every year and who knows when they will shut that down next...

I just bought a Switch. I'm a huge Ninetndo fanboy but I just didn't see it worth getting since I have a Wii U but now with the release date of Tears of the Kingdom announced, I had to finally get it. I just got Link's Awakening and Mario Oddysey. Any other good games to get? Games I have on Wii U/Virtual Console are:
BOTW (450+ hours played)
Twilight Princess HD
Windwaker HD
Skyward Sword
Majoras Mask
Minish Cap
Mario 3D World
New Super Mario U
Mario Galaxy 1/2
Rayman Legends
Mario Kart 8
I'm mostly into Mario/Zelda and any other fun platform games like Rayman Legends which I love. Any other recommendations?
Also right out of the box the left joycon has a very slight wobble while in handheld mode. Is that normal? Kinda annoying.Never neg first but always neg back crew

Was watching a walkthrough a few days ago, I feel bad for the kids growing up today playing modern Pokemon.. game is chit and with the technology there is nowadays there should be MORE animation and content and there isn't. All of us that grew up with Pokemon Red/Blue all the way up to Platinum had real fun
The new starters have been trash for the past two three gensR.I.P Greg Plitt

Nah i'm still debating because I still feel like I can get a few more games out of it

Beat Astral Chain yesterday. Thought it was fine but the combat is not nearly as fun as Bayonetta. Not being able to jump is a little silly for this kind of game. Began this playthrough in like April and it never really grabbed me at any point.
Started up Metroid Dread earlier and already having a blast only a couple hours in.

I'm planning to buy a new nintendo switch but I'm not sure which one to get. What are the pros and cons of V2 and the OLED? I heard a lot of negative reviews with the OLED tho. Also, what is the differwnce between the V1 and V2 because I already got the V1.

A little late to the game here since I just got a Switch a few months ago (see post from October above). So far my games played have been:
- Link's Awakening: Only major Zelda game I hadn't played yet. Thought it was solid, but nothing special. For $60 I think they should have added something else. If they wanted to keep it like the original with nothing new except the graphics, then make it a freaking $19.99 game. I assume the bulk of the hard work for Zelda is creating the actual world and dungeons and story, for which they had to do nothing for this one. Would rather play Minish Cap or Link Between Worlds. 7/10
- Mario Odysee: I may be alone here but I'm pretty disappointed with this. I absolutely love Mario games, but I just didn't like this that much. I'm not into open world Mario, Mario 64 is one of my least favorite games. I just got bored wanderng around trying to find more and more moons. I got about 300 moons and quit. My two favorite Marios are Galaxy 2 and 3D World... I love tight and creative platforming level design that those games have, not the wandering around big open areas. 6/10
- Celeste: fuking amazing game, definitely in my top 5 platforming games of all time, maybe close to the top (along with Galaxy 2, 3D World, and Rayman Legends). Interesting story, but the gameplay is just top notch, incredibly challenging but doable at the same time. 10/10
- Hollow Knight: currently about 20 or so hours in, still playing every night. Almost gave up an hour in as the begining is painfully slow and confusing, but once it gets going you just can't put it down. Every day I'm itching to start it back up and keep exploring the amazing world and playing the really satisfying combat. So far 9/10
Just trying to fill the time until Tears of the Kingdom comes out.Never neg first but always neg back crew
