Reviewer insinuates that they chose BOTW as the release game to cover up display/framerate issues. Will still get this for my son but will wait for the holidays to see how much of this can be addressed.

if you have to ask it means you have never played stardew valley. yes there are of course similiarities.. also it's not an nintendo exclusive even though some content is exclusive to the switch, so there is no need for the haters to be salty. you can play it too, but at home stuck to your pc or tv. where as we can play it wherever we want on the move, anywhere we feel like. hnnnnnnnnngh

3 hours is for more intensive games like zelda, other games give it 6 hours on the move. also, you can charge it wherever you want with a usb-c smartphone charger. unless you own apple you'll know what this charging cable looks like. guess that means you can also charge it from a 20 dollar power bank. no need to be salty brah because you have to game in your mothers basement.

mods can we get some order please on this glorious gaming moment. we are experiencing what could be the GOAT console and games coming out shortly. it is quite clear there are some trying to take a **** on our parade. it isn't cool and i do not appreciate the negative waves that are being directed towards those that enjoy products from the the grandfather of gaming. that is all. have a good day.

depending on how large your city is (and how many walmarts/bestbuys/gamestops you have in the area) 11:30 maybe a too late.
If you get there 30 minutes before midnight and the line is already 100 deep and they only got an extra 60-70 consoles you'd be out of luck. I'd get there as early as 9pm (if not earlier).

Ughhhh starting to get analysis paralysis.
Not sure if I should get this for Nintendo memories/parties/GF is over. Build a PC, but be a hermit. Or just not buy anything.
I did buy the Wii U about 2 years ago and had a good time with it, but sold it to a co-worker after 6 months as she offered me a good price. I was frustrated by the fact there were only like 10 "must play" games (they were awesome games, don't get me wrong), online features were ignored for the sake of protecting stupid children, etc. I'm afraid this will turn into another Wii U, but I'm having a lot of internal excitement.
I'm stumped.Union Strong. Workers are stronger together.
The GOP is a criminal organization who despises the middle class and working poor. Name one policy they have pushed for that increased worker pay, union strength, or worker influence in a corporation.

So what I gather from this is
1. Pro Controller is a requirement for the best gaming experience.
2. Docking implementation was just stupid and not practical.
3. Nintendo still behind the times and going to 720p
3. The Switch seems rushed to the market. Why? Nintendo isn't competing against anyone so why the rush>>>>>Florida State Seminoles Tomahawk Nation Crew>>>>>

720p on portable is not being behind times, but for battery usage sake..
docking isn't useless, thats how you play at home on the television
nintendo switch is released in march, all the people who were going to buy regardless are buying, then you have the people who want to play zelda (system seller).. nintendo then has splatoon 2 in the summer and mario odyssey in the fall/winter. That entire time they will build huge inventory for christmas sales due to Mario going back to his roots, n64/sunshine days. This was a calculated move, could they have waited til fall to release? sure, but then people would be crying, no stock no stock when christmas came*** Free Thinker Crew ***

Ok so semi important news, The switch apparently has a hidden browser of sorts so that you will beable to access log in portals at public Wifi spots.

On my way home from class yesterday there were 5 people already forming a line outside of my local gamestop. No idea how long the line is now.
....they..... looked exactly how you'd expect them to look like....obese neckbeard wearing a ratty pair of faded black jeans a Halo shirt and an ash Ketchum hat, there was also a frumpy fat girl with pink hair and black lipstick and covered in tattoos, you know, the usual. Thats why I try not to associate myself with the "gaming/anime" crowd IRL.

but thats not what Nintendo was going for.
They wanted a console/handheld hybrid. The console heavily caters to Asian countries where portability is king. The 3DS and Vita still sells like hotcakes over there while the Vita has floundered since launch in the US. Many of them are rarely at home and spend most of their time on trains commuting and in offices even on their free time. This is where the portability of Switch will excel while the Xbone and PS4 brick consoles will collect dust in their apartment that they hardly have time for.
....and yet, it has a means to be played like a traditional console (on a TV) to cater to the Western world. Not to mention, the portability aspect was a means to indirectly compete with smart phone gaming.
Now that I think about it, I have no idea what this means for the future of the 3DS. I guess the newest Pokemon games will come out on the Switch.Last edited by Maestro; 03-02-2017 at 04:17 PM.
