As someone who uses a version of this, I'd say unracking is actually more of a pain because you have to set up further away than a barbell/j-hook setup (because dumbbell head is so much bigger than a bar). But it's still way better than hiking up a pair of 120s and praying your shoulders stay intact while you flop back on the bench. Biggest advantage is starting at the top of the movement. Otherwise that first rep was always painful for me.

Fortunately, I'm not strong enough on bench for pain to be a factor yet. Or, my shoulders that were once chronically injured are now strong enough that I'll be able to continue progressing to the point where I'll need more DB before I need spotters. Either way, it sounds like I shouldn't be in a hurry to get these. I'll wait until I start struggling to kick the weights up.

I got the IronMaster Kettlebell and a Rage 20lb slam ball. I'm transitioning to more mobility style training, mainly golf specific. I already had the IM quick-lock dumbbell set so getting their kettlebell was a no brainer for me. I did a little research on slam balls and the Rage brand seems solid. Saw a guy use his 5 year old one which he said has held up nicely, and for the money seemed like a decent deal. Thanks to radrd's recommendation I've got a starter set of bands coming from Amazon. I have zero experience with kettlebells or slam balls, and little to nothing with bands. Not sure if starting with a 22.5lb kettlebell is the way to go, but strength isn't really an issue, just mobility. I can see myself adding several more slam balls, maybe 10, 30, and 40lbs, but I think I'm good on kettlebells now. IronMaster says this will go up 80lbs.

I've a brand new TruGrit adjustable kettle bell I'd picked up for about half price and a used 12 lb. Dynamax medicine ball I snagged from my old gym (that was closing) on a whim for about half the price of new. The medicine ball is indistinguishable from new, save for a bit of dirt on the lighter portions.

I know it would've been high, for me, doing Russian kettle bell swings at first. I had mine all the way down to 15 pounds before I felt comfortable (as in: won't injure myself) with it. Even with only that, two sets had my heart rate up there and I could feel it. But this was way early in my fitness program. I haven't done them in a while, but, probably 22½ lbs. would be no problem for me now.

The difference between a Russian kettle bell swing and something like a DL or RDL is the RKBS is a lot more dynamic.

Anyone see these online, how did I not hear about them while they were in stock?!?!?!?! Already seeing them on Facebook market place going for $750-$1k a pair, looks like a potential limited run of 500 pairs and they were $275. Hopefully that's just a rumor that it was a super limited run, I would have picked up a pair to keep with my DD set.

They're nice, but Rogue is charging a $95 premium for what is essentially one of their existing deep dish plates with a different mold (I guess there might be licensing costs to consider, but that's still pretty steep).

I remember buying machined Cap Barbell plates in the late nineties for 30 cents/pound.

Very true on the price being steep, but I'm thinking more about what they could be worth in 20-30 years as a collectors item.

Like a new-age version of the Zuver plates, something that may become highly coveted.

I'm definitely on the same page with the above mentioned, I'm good with the original Rogue DD plates to use and abuse, but if a pair of Arnold's decide to restock, I would jump on getting them for what they'd potentially fetch.

Absolutely, I'd drag them out to the Arnold Festival and farmers walk them right up to the man himself.

Can you imagine what those might be worth in the future autographed?

What kind of harbinger stuff did you buy?

Best Lifting Belt: Pioneer, Inzer, or Best Belts. PAL lever is a must add-on, awesome adjustability.

    https://generalleathercraft.com/prod...v2-discounted/

Best Lifting Straps: Versa Gripps or knockoffs (Harbinger does make a knockoff)

What kind? The weight belt and lifting straps. Or maybe I'm not understanding the question?

I bought what I bought based upon various reviews at various places. I particularly went with the belt I did because I'm not lifting that heavy and don't expect to, didn't want to deal with leather break-in, and cost.

I've been using Harbinger gloves for years and have always found them satisfactory, so, when their belt and straps reviewed well, it was an easy decision.

Didn't know if you bought a Harbinger lever (if they make one), regular buckle, or some velcro belt. Or if the straps were your typical garden variety or if they were the nicer 'Versa Gripps' knockoffs that Harbinger makes. I've got a pair of the Kratos straps on Amazon, highly recommend!

Bought an Inzer belt 10+ years ago and paired it with a PAL from Pioneer, one of the best investments I've made and I dont push crazy weight.

Oh. No, just a regular Velcro belt and what I assume are garden variety straps.

    Bough Oylmpic set finally!

After using a standard set for so long I realized I couldn't improve my squat or deadlift much longer. Here are plates. Siill waiting for the barbell and some of the other plates to show up. Finally excited to have a bar I can put a lot of weight on without giving af! Lol

I am excited. I cannot wait to use them! I have been hoping they would make these since they produced the ones in 2016 for the Aenold Classic.

Yes sir, they lasted about 15 more minutes after I ordered mine. Couldn't have been available for more than an hour before selling out, I didn't even get a notification email they were back in stock.

Now the big question, to lift with them or not to lift with them? Really needed more weight anyway so I didn't mind paying a premium, maybe I'll stick them on the Powertec where they won't get scratched up.

I am using them. Probably first in line on the leg press. Do the Rogue deep dishes you have show any wear from use?

Not much to be honest, aside from a few scratches the e-coating Rogue uses is fairly durable. I've also been dragging some outside for sled pushing and they still look fantastic. I'll probably just go ahead and use mine as well, should have two pairs coming since I had someone else place a second order for me

Just pulled the trigger on a set of The Strength Company rubber deadlift mats:

Kind of spendy and I know a lot of people just use Tractor Supply Co. horse stall mats, but, I bought a couple of those for another purpose and, even after a year in the shed they still stank badly of rubber. These mats are alleged not to have that problem.
