'Look What I Bought Today!' - Part Deux
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

New mech monos came in today, very impressed with the quality and design and finish of them. They just look like a much more finished and refined design vs my old rogue monos.

Thanks! They were definitely a good upgrade over rogues like you said. Now hopefully this weekend my reverse hyper gets here and next week I need to order six more 45lb troy GO plates and then its time to get to work and get more focused on my strength gains and training my wife and take a break from gym additions for awhile.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Im going to give it a full run tomorrow, but just testing it out with only the bar seemed really good. My upper arms were fully stabilized with no excess movement allowed and the Biceps seemed to get all of the weight.
I was unsure on these also, but there is a movement I can do on my hyper bench that pushed me into buying one. My hyper-extension can change angles from 35 to 50 degrees. When I set it to 50 degrees and pull it all the way out height-wise, Ill lean back against it and the pads end right above my elbow, right where a Bicep Blaster would be. I can use it that way with dumbbells or cables, and isolation of the Biceps is really intense. Its kinda similar to the machine in the video Im posting with this.
Anyway, thats what made me buy one. we'll see how it goes in a full on session.

Rep SS PB
Surprised that it was delivered today. Though it was going to come tomorrow.
This is the first bar , out of 5 new bars including this one, this is the only one that has screws on the tube. Initial assumption is that it is NOT a dud bar. Time will tell. Just removed it from the package and felt the knurl. It is not as aggressive Vulcan elite PB but not as 'soft' as CAP OB-86
Did load OM's (10s) to see the fit. Definitely as tight as OBZ-55 or Vulcan. May be the sleeves are couple of mm short in diameter. Will measure the sleeves some time this week.
Mech mono should be coming sometime next week which when this will be used for BP .I am planning to use this exclusively for BP and floor press etc no OHP with this one and my son will be using this for all big 3.
Country of Origin. Did not do taste test on the knurl. That was good one.
Don't know what this means but don't think it matters
The screw. There are 3 of them. Opened only one end and slid the bar
Black mark on the knurl which was gone with a simple wipe. There were few of them and all of them were gone with a simple wipe
wrapped in plastic
Next to OBS-20KG which was bought used.

Feels like it took forever for me to finally get one, but it finally happened today. Cybex 5435. Randomly checked CL, and lucked out. It's in good condition with no rips or tears on the padding...7.5/10 and paid $200. Not a steal, but a fair price. I read some old threads, and calling cybex for decals might be a good idea. Not sure if I want to bother repainting as a good 10 minutes of cleaning, tightening of bolts/screws, and some wd-40 has it looking pretty good.
I thought I was done before this, but maybe now I'm truly done. Or not, as I still want a Mech6 monolift, but I might be done after that.
