Nice! I'm often willing to take the blemished stuff for a discount. It's just going to get scratched up in the gym anyway.

So I just purchased my first York weights and bar. Pretty exciting stuff! I don't know much about York, but I felt comfortable taking a small financial risk in effort to fit in with the "cool" kids.

The knurling on the bar feels awesome and I know it's much better quality than my cheap hot rolled Chinese 5' bar, so I'll be cleaning that up and keeping it.

I'm not keeping the Holdtite collars and all of the weight plates, though I haven't figured out which plates I want to keep (or get rid of) just yet. It will be nice having a wider selection of weights to choose from since my current plates jump from 10lbs to 25lbs.

Now the bad part.....Introducing vintage York plates into my gym means I have a serious dilemma on my hands. What color am I going to paint my Yorks???

Are those 1 1/8" holes? I can't remember ever seeing York plates that did not say York on them.

Yeah, everything there has 1-1/8" hole size and they fit the York bar nicely. No signs that anything was modified or "hogged out", the holes are factory. The pancake plates (and I think the green 20's with the small numbering as well) are only numbered on one side.

Honestly, I ain't gots no clue what I'm looking at! The price and the word YORK on most of the plates are what sold me instantly. I like the yellow 20# plates, and the 12.5# plates on the top right, so I'm keeping those (plus the bar, minus the Holdtite collars) for my personal collection. I've wanted to get some York plates for awhile now, so this was my chance.

My thoughts exactly. It takes nothing away from the functionality of the bar. Plus Kabuki still honors it's warranty on blemished bars.

Kabuki transformer blemish bar came today. Will get to see the extent of the blemish(es) when I open it later. Figured my shoulder is shot and getting the blemish version gets me the bar 5-6 months quicker so it was worth the risk to me

Picked up an older Powertec Workbench with a bunch of Hampton HOG rubber plates. Been wanting a better lever bench for a while. This one isn't perfect, but better than the junky one I had before. The lat pulldown sucks, can't get close to full ROM, but I already have a separate pulldown. Haven't tried the leg curl or squat bar accessories yet.

The guy who was selling it was moving and it was basically in a pile of parts, but the only thing that was missing was the pin stop for the lever press. I am using a grade 8 bolt with a shaft collar as a substitute for now, but I'll have to see if I can order a replacement from Powertec. I don't really care, but if I decide not to keep it I'd rather have the factory part.

I needed some comfortable knurled handles for an upcoming project, and since raw knurled material isn't exactly cheap, I took a chance and bought a pair of 38mm stainless dumbbell handles from Christians Fitness Factory. The knurling is actually quite nice, not at all too sharp or coarse.

They're a little nicked up since they were sold as "open box" models, but the price was discounted slightly to offset the blemishes, and the quality is excellent. The diameter is slightly too big for me to comfortably use as DB handles, which makes me feel much less guilty about butchering them up with the portaband and angle grinder. Haha.

New dip belt arrived today. Quality looks ok. I'll reserve my judgements for after I use it.

The rubberized straps are a clever approach to keeping the belt from loosening.

MAG knockoffs came today, shipment was a tad delayed but just by a couple days. First impression compared to the real deal is favorable, but I can notice right away that these aren't the same thing. The coating seems nice but it has a slightly 'spongy' feel compared to MAG, and it's more spongy in some areas than others. Second thing, the grip area seems slightly smaller than MAG so I'm unable to get a full 'thumb over top' hook grip like I could before. Lastly, the pronated close grip feels really odd compared to the Supinated (which feels great). The attachment extends down further on your forearm and I'm not sure I like that yet.

Are the Wide and Medium's, all neutral? The site doesn't do a great job on the details. Looks like 2 medium neutrals, but one is just 2inches wider than the other? Then the close grips are the supinated and pronated?

They are all neutral except for the two close grip, that was one reason I held off for so long because it seemed odd to get two of the same medium attachments. I'll probably end up using them for a while then sell the ones I don't like for $25 a piece or something, recoup a little of my $138 cost. Even if I sold two you can't beat that deal. It will be interesting to see what happens over time. The pronated close grip almost feels like it could be used for both pro/sup grip. Just have to see how it performs after a few months of use.

I listed the longest one for $65 and it was gone in a day. YMMV of course, but I think you can do better than $25 pretty easily.

Duffalo bar, nickel finish, Blemished although I can't see anything at all wrong with it.

Here it is next to my Strongarm buffalo bar, which I will now be selling. Knurling is much sharper on the kabuki. And much wider in the middle which is also good.

Congrats, always wanted to try a Duff bar, I suspect it would help my shoulder issues, but shipping to the UK doesn't make it a viable option for me.

nothing too exciting. Ordered a basic Hex Bar from Amazon. Sunny Health. a brand I never heard of but reviews were good, cost around $145.00. There ere a few cheaper bars on the site, but reviews stated how well the packaging is on this model.
Well they weren't kidding. For a cheaper bar it was boxed up pretty good. I ordered a cap bar years ago and it was barely wrapped in outer plastic.
This was boxed up with wood stops on each side. Finish seems nice, the welds are average at best.
Weird thing is that Amazon delivered it this morning around 6:00AM. Two guys. Never seen them that early or with two people.
I know there are much nicer ones, but just needed a basic one, also ship and sold by Amazon, so easy return if needed. It should do the trick.

Awesome! I really do miss my Nautilus Leg extension and pullover machines, what was I thinking with selling everything?
