Finding quality used stuff in the UK is virtually impossible and prices recently have gone crazy. Snapped this up for £100, plus another £100 for van hire and 4 hours off work and I'm very happy. Carrying it 300ft down the garden on my own nearly killed me though.

Mag medium pronate and supinate bars. The forum owes me about $150 to cover the cost of the purchase, due to it's influence!

Let us know which one you like better. I get some forearm pain with the pronate sometimes. I’m still waiting for my $150 so don’t hold your breath.

Congrats man, I remember you mentioning getting that piece for a while and now it's finally on the way. I've always liked the versatility of that piece and the fact that you can turn it into a free weight station as well which validates having the smooth gliding smith machine on it along with cable variety...I'd honestly pit it up there with the leverage machine and say it's even better in a way due to more functionality.

I'll post some pics and an in-depth review after I've used it for awhile, including ease of putting together.
I'm stoked about getting it, I've long been a proponent/fan of Smith Machines. I used them constantly in commercial gym settings. When I first decided to go home gym, I got the PowerTec Smith Machine. That was a mistake since it wasn't linear bearing and anything over 2 plates a side became a major chore to swivel the bar to lock/unlock it. I'm hoping I don't have this same issue here, but I've never heard anything about that being an issue in anyone's reviews on it. The J Hooks and spotter arms will mean I'll be able to sell my rack,if it wasn't a space issue, I'd keep it. But I'll still be able to do all barbell movements I could with the rack. I love variety in my training, so couple this with my full set of dumbbells, and PowerTec Leverage Gym and I'll be able to do basically any movement with either, dumbbells, free weights, smith machine, or leverage machine.

Congrats! You should be able to easily rig up a belt squat setup on a smith which is a cool bonus. But I'd be careful with those 14" spotter arms, I'm a HUGE fan of half racks but that's getting pretty skinny. Although I guess depending on whether you wanted to bolt it down you could always add some Titan upgrades, check whether the Titan t-2/x-2 spotter arms might with with the 2" uprights and the revised roller j-cups.

A belt squat on a smith would be interesting, I've never used a belt squat but like the idea of blasting my quads without the vertical load on my spine. Have you seen an actual rigs like that utilizing a smith? I'll have to start researching that.
I'm honestly not that worried about the spotter arms being an issue, my heavy, or light LOL, barbell squatting days are behind me. I squatted a lot in my youth. I don't do much flat barbell benching, never got much out of it except sore shoulders. I'm more dumbbells and neck presses on a smith for chest.

I've seen it done before, you just need to connect a belt to the center of the bar with a hook or strap (straddling the bar between your legs).

Similar to this but with a belt....

If yours is as smooth as mine, you've done very well for £100.

Looks very similar, I have no idea who this one's made by. Definitely commercial grade, came from a gym in Stoke.

One of the rubber feet was missing (I'm going to drill it and bolt it down anyway) and flaking to some of the paint. Function wise it's perfect, super-smooth.

With better paint and all the feet, in the current market im guessing it would be about £750+.

I would have paid a lot more than £100, as soon as it popped up on ebay I hit buy it now.

Going to weld a lower pulley to the bottom so it can double up as a seated row.

New Ironmaster Hybrid came today, all indications point towards it being a great addition to the bench! Same firmness and thickness as the original, material feels nice and hopefully my shoulders enjoy the added width for flat benching. In terms of the so called 'grippy' material though I'm not really feeling that right away, it seems roughly the same (maybe even a little less) as the original which I think had plenty of grip anyway. Side bonus though being no logo stitching in the fabric so it's just a murdered out beast now

That's a sweet a** bench and Hybrid pad, I honestly think the Ironmaster is the best valued modular FID bench out there and think this will be my next purchase if I catch the re-stock date on time. Just for the heck of it I looked at Rick's Transformer bench from Edge Fitness Systems, but at $700 not including the price for a few limited attachments (aside from including FID capabilities) and no leg extension/leg curl, the Ironmaster Super Bench Pro wins hands down in my opinion.

The Hybrid pad looks very interesting and I would like to know how comfortable and supportive it feels on 21s with the back on the wide side of the pad (7 reps flat bench lying triceps extensions, 7 reps skullcrushers and 7 reps close grip bench press) if you don't mind testing it out. I feel like the Legend 3103 is a bit too narrow for this movement...not bad, but not great as in I feel a bit uneven on the bench doing them on a 10 1/4" pad.

Great spot. Looking on their website the rubber feet, pop pin, seat pads and guard for weight stack are all the same. So think you're spot on.

    IM2000.jpgSpuds.jpg

My IronMaster 2000 came in earlier than expected. I got it put together today. I'll write up a review on it after I've used it a week or so. I also got these Spuds D handles. They are very heavy duty feeling. I got them to do "Brignole Squats" on the IM2000.
The assembly was much easier than I was anticipating. I had been watching some unboxing and assembly videos on it and was prepared for a much harder time.
I did a couple reps of incline presses with it and all I can say is that it's surprisingly smooth for what I would consider to be a very inferior designed smith to a linear bearing smith machine. But I was pleasantly shocked at how smooth and even it feels.

    Pro's:

    1) It's the easiest incline/decline bench on the market to adjust, design is genius.
    2) True flat bench with zero gap, no seat adjustment needed.
    3) New design fixed the height issue and pad firmness, it's perfect for me @ 5'9".
    4) Excellent attachments and upgrade options, which can be added over time.
    5) Lightweight for easy mobility (yet high weight capacity), upright storage when not in use.
    6) TONs of incline/decline options, could almost double as an inversion table.
    7) Price: base option was around $319 when I bought it, so that was a HUGE motivating factor.

    Con's:

    1) Price has increased quite a bit recently, from $369 to $399.
    2) No handle to grip, so you are pulling on the pad (may not be good over time)
    3) Wheels could be farther apart, sometimes the rocks side-to-side when rolling. (SOOOO nitpicky)
    4) *When declined the frame appears to 'flex' during some movements.

*The last con is a weird anomaly, you only really notice it when getting into place declined, during use you don't notice it at all.

Very cool setup! Now you got every possible variation covered. I'm curious to hear how some of the unique movements pair up on the machine (for example the vertical smith leg press and calf raise) as well as ROM when going all out on it and its locking points, how the pulleys feel on it too and also if you can do lat pulldowns and lowering the smith bar on your legs locked if it holds down during that movement securely to name a few.

Also, how much does the machine weigh when assembled?
