Two really nice pieces. I would love to find one of those Free Motion pieces and a reasonable price.

Good stuff. How do you like the freemotion, appears to have a single stack. There is an active thread for ft vs cable crossover and I am considering one or the other. The local equipment co has a single and a double stack for sale. Not sure the double is needed and worth the extra $.

Thanks! Yeah I got a good deal. Was a pain to take apart and move to my basement. Still looking for a hammer strength V squat and leg press, and a reverse hyper.

Thanks! There's ONE BIG thing to consider I believe the single stack and double stack are the same weight, except the 150 to 210lb difference. 1 reason I mention this is because, yes there's two 210lb individual stacks, but when I took mine apart to go into the basement the plates from 60-150lbs were very long, across the whole inner frame to be exact. I'd assume these are actually 20lbs+ each to compensate for the resistance, so you're actually feeling that 10lbs. Even the "5lb" plates from 5-50lbs look a little bigger like 10lb plates. But who knows this is just my opinion, I haven't tried it yet as school is taking alot of my time. Unfortunately I can't put both arms all the way up for lat pulldown as ceiling is low, left side can go up to notch 3 and the other can go all the way up.

Just finished opening up my 270lbs worth of troy GO plates that came in today. This batch actually looks better then my previous batch I received a few months ago. The finish on them is nicer and no damage during shipping this time. I'll have to bring home a scale one day from work so I can see how accurate they are.

I've always ordered them through adamant barbell and had great service. I received these in about a week. For a quality plate its hard to beat the price of these with adamant giving free shipping on orders over $400. Troy advertises they are within 2% of the intended weight but I've yet to weigh them to verify, I'll try to this week.

If you are going to use both arms simultaneously (presses, flys, pull down, etc), I would recommend the double stack to better isolate each side and increase load. If you are using the arms separately (chops on one, paloff press on the other), a single stack will work just fine (assuming it has the right max weight).

Depends how you think you will use it and whether it justifies the price delta.

These are a great buy in my opinion and I'm a fan of the interlocked look they have when loaded up on a bar. It's sad that the finish on these looks superior to some of the far more expensive Ivanko revolver pictures that have been floating around recently.

I agree completely, if these plates truly are within 2% of the intended weight i could never see paying almost double just for the ivanko name especially with all the recent photos of poor finish on them and like you I'm a fan of the interlock feature and grip handle design on the troy plates.

There is something very gratifying about interlocking plates, I enjoyed my York G2's before I became aware of the balance issues. Now when you start putting on 25/10/5 they don't look near as nice, but they certainly do provide an excellent value. I'm still super happy with my REP plates, the paint is wearing a little faster than expected, but overall no regrets.

I purchased up my first urethane plates this week. These things feel indestructible and are very accurate (9 lbs., 15.4oz, & 10 lbs., 0.4 oz). I'll probably purchase one more 10 lb. pair to go with my comp bumpers. It's really a nice looking plate. I know 10 lb. bumpers aren't for everyone.. I mainly use 10s for snatch warmups and my wife likes using them to start at the correct height for her deadlift warmups.

    Wow those look really nice!

Nice score! I've got 2 of the Ivanko single knurled bars that I picked up from an old gym (along with a ton of unbranded ivankos). Any idea of the history behind them? I asked in the Ivanko thread but no answers...

    My pickup for today.

For the Ivanko Bar is there anywhere in this thread that it has been talked about, could I get a link to a smaller thread or a name of a thread with post#? I'm assumming it's early 2000s?

    Nice looking plates!

I'm thinking about selling my echo bumper plates to fund a Ohio deadlift bar.

Nice! It's a younger guy who had no knowledge of the equipment....most likely he got the stuff used.

I don't know if they're hard to come by, but every non-economy Ivanko bar should be good. I just assumed single knurling was early 2000s

NICE! They look sweet! Any chance you'd do a review? I don't know if there has been any posted on this forum yet on these type of plates. Possibly help someone deciding to get them or not.

Picked up 10-55 and a rack. Also picked up these deep dish 45's. Not sure what brand they are but they seemed pretty cool.

I'm not getting a full set, at this point, but so far I'm digging them more than my Rogue (rubber) competition plates. I'll use them a few weeks and report back. I am very, very tempted to move to all urethane bumpers after seeing the high quality of these. I really like that the letters/numbers aren't painted on. The colored numbers/letters are a separate mold so it won't fade or lose it's color over time. Pretty cool.. but mainly I just like that the urethane ones just feel so beastly compared to my rubber bumpers which show every nick and bump.

If its single, pre silly knurl, 28 mm shaft, it's most likely a late 70's, early 80's bar. In my experiences, they're very hard to come by. The one that I've used had really smooth spin and 0 play in the sleeves. If you lift with it, please share your thoughts!!
