Yes similar. You are more locked in almost like a sissy squat. You can also do stiff leg dead’s on it. Probably going to make my own version in the future with some stainless knurled handles and band pegs. I like it a lot. I’ll post a vid up!

Picked up a Cybex 5435 for $75. It’s missing one bolt on the back pad and the head wear cover is a little worn, I’ll be ordering the replacement from fullcirclepadding.com

Good deal. I tried to pick up a second one for $50 today (black-on-black), but the seller was holding it for someone and marked it sold this afternoon. :/

I just picked up these urethane coated Intek plates for $2/lb. Not the greatest deal, but my local market is still asking that for cast iron Fitness gear plates.

The urethane's got all sorts of imperfections in it though. Some looks like maybe heat damage, then there's random small bubbles, and the brownish tint isn't residue, it doesn't clean off. Still these are the thinnest coated plates I've seen, and my Detecto digital scale has them at 44.2 lbs, 44.4 lbs, 44.4 lbs, 44.6 lbs.

Those are Intek's value line. The coating is rubber rather than urethane. They go for about $3/lb new, so $2/lb isn't a bad price.

Really? I have a mix of rubber (troy) and urethane (igx) plates, and these inteks having a harder, more slick coating. Definitely feels more like urethane than rubber to me. But could be a result of how they were stored.

I have the urethanes and they have white lettering. Maybe yours are an older version but they look like rubber to me. I really like the urethanes. Pretty much ideal except I wish the 25 lb plate was thinner.

This. ^ The Intek urethane have white lettering. The urethanes also have a stainless steel hub.

Are visual cues a surefire way to tell? Because these definitely don't feel like rubber. Hard to pickup in pictures. But if these are rubber, they must've been through too many heat cycles or something.

You could email Intek the photo and ask. I found them to be very responsive and great to work with

Basically, everything everyone has said above. These are 100% the Champion Rubber Plate series. Typically, especially nowadays, the urethanes are fairly distinguishable with their hubs (typically stainless steel) showing vs just being on the inside of the hub (if at all). I'm sure different companies use different compounds/mixtures for their coating, hence why some rubber plates could look/feel more like urethane and vice versa. Still not bad, considering the prices of new weights going up, (with tax, 45lb Fitness Gear Plates are $1.88lb for example)

Interesting! No doubt the plates were manufactured in China and look similar to others, so I guess it's not all that surprising even Intek isn't sure after 10+ years. What do they measure? If they are standard 450mm (17.72″) diameter then I'd lean back towards urethane. Intek's lower end plates used to be narrower, though it could have been all of their plates that long ago.

Jason helped me with three different orders and patiently + quickly answered all my questions and provided several quotes. Awesome customer service.

Fresh steel compliments of Buddy Capps! There is just something special about this Barbell, even though it came with a couple dings from shipping and I spot some machine swirling on the smooth areas. But it doesn't break the bank, is tried and tested, and the knurling still has a nice 'gritty' bite. Sleeves are interesting, they appear to have lightened up on the ribbing compared to the one I had a few years ago, this is closer to the Rogue OPB and I'd almost say a little lighter. Plan on getting another Barbell at some point, maybe see how the Rogue AGGRO 3X is reviewed before taking the leap on something that expensive. But the TPB will hold me over nicely as I continue swapping out my 'Made in China' stuff. You'll notice no weights on the rack and those Mono's will likely go soon

Looks like a nice bar! I have no doubt Coop will love the Aggro Rogue bars, so you might as well buy one. Oh, wait, maybe you are waiting for legitimate reviews. Any plans to add more American Barbell gear?

Haha, I'm sure his review is underway! I'm thinking about it, think I, might try my hand at keeping a couple barbells. So the TPB is a must, it's just a classic and I love the knurling. AGGRO might be good, looking at IG's Barbell, possibly an AB but I fear I have grown accustomed to a more aggressive knurling to go back to passive/grippy. But who knows, might just stick with the Buddy Capps, for a little over $300 it's a great Barbell.

It does but I'm curious what exercises can be done with this that I can't do with an Ironmaster bench? I'm sure there are a bunch of options but I'm at a loss

It has a lot of overlap with an incline bench, but I wanted it for variation and chest supported barbell rows. You cant put a barbell under bench.

Sweet bar! What finish did you get on shaft and sleeves? Bare steel? I may swap my 3x AGGRO for a TPB, not sure yet.. the 3x is growing on me, but it's still a bit overkill on the aggressiveness scale...

Just picked up this Tk Star seated leg curl. First one I have ever seen. Feels amazing, similar to a Hamtractor with a better strength curve. Going to sell my medx now.

Just the bare steel, didn't want to mess with black oxide and I have no clue what their chrome is like. Been running a dehumidifier downstairs 24/7 so we'll see how long it takes for surface rust to appear.

Infinity calf raise and ladder adjustable decline ab bench:

Picked up a Titan FID bench for cheap. It's pretty decent considering the price point they are new, but definitely closer to Powertec than Powerlift.
