Nice pickups there! How does the hyper feel as a standalone now?

It's very sturdy. There's zero forward tilt when at the bottom of the movement. I don't usually hold and extra weight, but I'm 250lbs. When using it with the IM SuperBench it looked easy to use with bands, the HomeGymHacks guy on YouTube shows that. I don't have any bands, but it doesn't look like you could use them as easily. I have to put in a corner to keep it out of the way and it's fairly easy to move around, it doesn't add much weight to the hyper attachment.

Totally not worth posting, but I'm going to do it anyway for my Nike Romaleos II brethren out there! Bought these things over 10 years ago and they are still in fantastic shape, they've only seen gym flooring so I think they will probably last a lifetime at this point. For those who own these I swapped out the laces with Lock Lace's, which I've found myself using on all of my shoes these days. No more getting the regular laces stuck in the velcro while trying to put them on. For those considering a dedicated "lifting" (squat) shoe the Romaleos 4 look like an awesome shoe, they also released a Savaleos which appears to be more friendly for mobility during other workouts (at a cheaper price too).

10 years old and still looking good!

Say goodbye to your laces getting stuck in the velcro!

Got these off FB from someone who found them in a basement. You can tell they're very old because they're built like a tank. The bearings (6924ZZ) I can't find anywhere except alibaba for less than $200+ (used, ebay. New it's like 500).
No other markings (has blank endcaps behind a snap ring design) so I'm wondering if they're custom. Also, barbell is 28mm and has knurling (which makes no sense). I think they chopped up an actual barbell to make this thing.
The bar has a center distance of 11" grip-to-grip and isn't quite rackable. If I cut it and lengthen the center part to get 16" center distance it would also make it rackable. Have to play around with it a bit.
The cable attachment is 15" center distance which is very good.

They look similar to the offerings from this startup company. I am not sure if they ever got off the ground. If you try to place an order, you get a pre-order link. I would like to get a couple of the cable attachment handles.

I have this one. The supra bar handles rotate on a different plane and on 2 bolts, which makes it feel a little cheap to me, but the whole bar is also like 1/3 the cost of one of those bearing units. It doesn't wow me, but was worth trying since it was cheap on Marketplace. I am wondering how the bar Mech is showing feels by comparison.

I haven't used a Supra bar but that's how I thought it worked. Thought about getting one for a while but seemed expensive and too much to pay for a love or hate niche bar. I would think full rotation on bearings would be better.

Used an OLD one at an LA Fitness once, think someone must have donated it to the gym for use because it seemed like an original design. Didn't like how it felt, think the Rogue rackable is still the way to go, would be nicer if it was 30-32MM, but it gets the job done.

Feels awesome. 100% balanced at all times (unlike a gaspari bar for example, which has extra weight on one side). Bearings are shielded (ZZ bearings), not open, so the packed grease in them keeps them from spinning too freely. But doing extensions or curls with it you get a nice controlled rotation. Once I make it rackable it'll be perfect.
I'm going back and getting the attachment I passed on just to cut off the bearing housings and use them for something else. Not sure what yet but the housings are mild steel so they're easy to weld. I've seen other versions with parts welded right to the bearing races (which are hardened) and it's just heresy. Example:

One of those old Gaspari curl bars? I have tried that one. Was not even worth loading it with weight. Went right back on the rack.

Think so, it looked really cool but didn't feel right. I'll stick to my Rogue Curl Bar & AB revolving curl attachment. My bicep days usually consist of incline hammer curls, 21's with the Rogue, then cable curl super sets with the AB / bicep bomber.

The gym is pretty full, so just small additions these days. The latest addition is a pair of Titan X-3 shackles. The finish and welds on these are worlds ahead of old Titan, but they're not fully welded like Rogue's and it took 3 attempts to get 2 that weren't bent.

Titan squat handles. Nice finish on these again. The UHMW placement doesn't make any sense though. It's only on one side and it isn't on either side that will constantly press against the rack during use. Make no difference to me, but some guys don't want metal-on-metal anywhere.

I picked up a pair of those also to use with my Titan half rack. I love them with my SSB. I'm with you on the metal on metal. No biggie, I prefer my stuff to look like I use it.

They're nice. They fit my Rogue Monster rack perfectly. These are their older "roller" type j cups, although nothing rolls. Bars will slide on them. I'd be worried about the paint long term and possibly bar finish. I bought these as a "spare" set of jcups, so I'm not real worried about it. I may through some UHMD tape on them as insurance.

I see them in stock pics of their racks, but I don't see them offered for sale in their attachments list. Looks like there's a new 2.0 model.

I have these and they work fine but the powder coat will definitely wear off on the cup and you'll want to add UHMW tape if you are concerned about knurl wear, which I think is especially likely because a small area of the cup comes in contact with the bar and therefore the load isn't spread out. Also, they are pretty wide so I put the part that expands out on the inside of my rack so plates don't bang against it.

I had a local buddy 3D print me some "covers" that sit on top of the rests. They seem to work well. I should have him upload them to Thingiverse. The diameter of the rest is 25mm and he printed them 75mm long. They're about 2/3 of a complete circle/tube.

they are pretty much. very happy with these plates. Recommended but Pricey-for sure. But I sold a bunch of older metal plates from different brands, nice to have everything match now.

Those are nice looking! That's my next purchase. I've also got some old metal Fitness Gear and Sports Authority plates I want to sell and get some matching rubber grip plates. I've always been of the mindset that weights are weights, but now my mismatched plates are just pi$$ing me off.
