Finally got my Rep Fitness urethane DB's opened up today. I'll do a bigger review at some point, but my initial reaction is that they are awesome.

Another home run from REP, wanted a barbell for my kids and the specs on the technique bar was right on the money. Shipped in typical REP fashion, crazy thick tube with screwed metal encaps and then boxed up! Wasn't crazy about the color scheme, but the silver shaft looks pretty darn good with the black sleeves. Most surprised about the knurling though, man the pictures don't do it justice but this knurl is OUT of this world clean (like AB Super Power Bar clean). Super fine but not sharp, grippy as all hell, pretty much the perfect knurl for children. Nicely done REP!

No, just the barbell for now. They just asked if they could start working out with me (11 & 7), so my excitement resulted in this purchase about 5 minutes later LOL. Looked at Rogue and Vulcan but the REP seemed like the best value comparing specs. Sleeves have some decent grooves on them, but they don't seem overly loud so I'm happy there too.

Finally ordered up a cambered squat bar from bwtg, having him make it with sch 80 sleeves instead of the standard sch 40 he uses. Should add a little more weight and strength to the bar. Not that its 800lb limit is a concern but, why not...

Picked up one of the last accessories I'll need to buy for my rack.. CrossBox rack-mounted Olympic bar holder for $31 CAD.



Next up is a bench upgrade, then a bar upgrade.

Should hold up fine. I have the open 5 bar with just the welds on the bottom.

I don't normally post here, but still stunned by the deal I just got on Offerup. I have IM dumbells and was not in the market, but could not pass up the practically brand new sets below for 150 TOTAL.....wtf just happened......the same person is selling a brand new Body Solid G5S for 500 or best offer by tomorrow night. It still has plastic on the handles. I'm trying to convince myself I have no need for a multi gym.

Those are the urethane 90s, 40 and 20 lb kettles in case it is hard to see. I'll have to sell the 90s or my IMs, decisions, decisions.

dude keep the 90s. I have both IMs and classic 90s and it’s honestly the best of both worlds. I use the PB for lower weight high rep stuff or drop sets where I want to quickly change weights and the ims for heavier work when I want the feeling of a solid traditional DB. I could never go back to one or the other

Yeah, after owning both sets, I slightly prefer the powerblock urethane 90s. Ironmasters are great, but I prefer the handles of the U90 and just how well made they are.. and just SO FAST to change weights.

Found a guy selling a cheap squat rack with some plates for a good price, and he said he'd drop the price a good deal if I disassembled and moved everything without his help. I need more cheap plates for my outside strongman stuff, and the price was good even before the discount, so that was a no brainer. I got there and he had a bunch of stuff that wasn't listed in the ad, and said I could take everything for the same price.

Among other things, I ended up with:

~500 pounds of CAP Olympic plates
Pair of Rogue Echo colored 45 bumpers
Tracker PC 757 power rack (Weider clone)
Body Solid bench press
Powertec dual hyperextension
A bunch of cheap bars/curl bars/dumbbell handles

Other than the plates, I haven't decided what I'm keeping and what I'm flipping, but it was a decent haul.

also got this nice commercial york dumbbell stand and dumbbells. will resell the dumbbells to make the stand free
