Got my OX Buffalo Bar on Friday. Purchased from here: http://store.kettlebellinc.com/Produ...ctCode=OB-92EM
Shipping was quick & took just under a week to get to me. I think it was like $235 shipped.
Packaging:
Didnt realize it came with collars. I probably won't use them, but it was a nice touch.
Close-up of knurling/sleeve. Knurling isn't too sharp, but just right & consistent IMO.
End cap/sleeve. Big allen screw end cap & sleeve is very smooth.
Did a squat workout (in a half-rack no less & no I didn't die, in contrast to popular opinion on the forum :-o ) with the bar on Friday & loved it. Honestly, I have no desire to use a straight bar after using the buffalo bar (I don't compete, so I dont care about using a straight bar). This bar felt fantastic on my shoulders. I usually squat with a SSB & still do, but this will be my main squat bar. I'll try benching with it this week. I did like that the bar did not rotate in the J-cups, it stayed upright on re-racks.
How does it compare to a Duffalo bar? I have no idea...I don't have one. I'm sure Kabuki's bar is way nicer, but it is also about twice the price. (If someone wants to gift me one, I'll be glad to do a comparison :-D ) Anyway, for $210 bucks, I'm more than pleased with this bar & want for nothing more...

Thanks man! And thanks for posting up yours... I had no idea this bar existed till you posted yours.
Yeah, there's a couple spots on the knurling & on the smooth section right before the sleeves. At first I thought my bar had a dent & then realized it was on both ends... Just seems like something done in production...

So i picked up 375 pounds of intek ursthane or rubber coated grip plates in a buy of some other equipment a few months ago, they were dirt cheap in the deal, maybe .50 cents a pound if that. I had also bought a second rack, a power lift 6 post rack i am just getting ready to set up. I really liked the plates, the costing is nice and there the first grip plates i ever really used. What i most liked is they have a steel steel insert cast into them that is a much more precise opening the cast plates, even mY ivanko om’s. They just fit so nicely on bars. Obviousely 375 pounds isnt a full set for us, so i was hoping to find more. I found a seller lically with a bunch of plates reasonable, not as cheap as the first ones but for about .90 cents a piund i added 350 pounds. I only have 5 x 45’s so i had to grab 4 35’s for now. But with about 750 pounds they at kesst feel like a real set, if no more 45’s show up i could waot for a deal online to pick up 3 more 45’s. Since i hage 22 other 45’s for plate loaded equipment and my other rack, 8 45’s will be fine for this set,

Pics to follow tonight but received my MAG attachments. Based on a7string's recommendation I went with the wide grip, close sup and medium sup.
Couple impressions:
- From exchanging messages, Tom at MAG seems like a great guy.
- I was surprised at how heavy they are. based on the pictures, I wasn't expecting that (which is a godo thing)
- Built solid and just holding them, without actually lifting them, the design feels really nice.
Will add pics later and thoughts after a couple days of work with them.{5'7" and under #1}

Please follow up with impressions once you have used that bar for a while, I'm thinking about putting the Buffalo bar on my X-mas list to the wife if it holds up well. Kabuki would be amazing, but there is absolutely no way I could justify paying that much for a barbell when I'm doing fine with my REP SS.
Side note on my recent purchase, looking to add some mass/width to the guns this winter so I pulled the trigger on the Titan Bicep Bomber and the CAP Deluxe Curl bar. Got a decent price on the bar, not willing to drop that much on the Rogue, and not too many of them seem to be 30mm which is my preferred thickness. I'm fairly certain I have owned the CAP a LONG time ago, and I have always thought it was the best curl bar I have ever owned. That 30mm grip straight blows up your forearms and biceps, and its long enough (57") to rest on the safety spotters in between use. Arrives this next Monday, fingers crossed it's the bar I remember owning back when I first picked up my first York setup on CL.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

Will do! Just used it for benching a couple days ago & my impressions are similar to squatting with it...LOVED it. Felt similar to a straight bar, but much more comfortable on the shoulders/wrists...maybe its the angle/width of the bar, dunno. But pain I usually have with a straight bar was not there (or at least felt noticeably reduced) with the buffalo bar.
btw - I just saw it for sale at The Strength Shop for $10 less than what I paid.

Just received my Pioneer / General Leathercraft 10mm Lever belt. Just a simple light grey with black edging and lever. It took 16 days from order date to receiving it today. Pretty impressive really to build and deliver a belt. Very high quality stuff. I sold my single prong Rogue Ohio belt to a buddy to try Pioneer out and I also wanted to try out a lever belt. Can't wait to give it a go tomorrow.

I own both Buffalo and Duffalo bars and I trained with the old Bow Bar which is essentially this bar here in question, and my recommendation would be to seek out an older Buffalo Bar instead. The Buffalo Bar is a much better made bar and you can lijkely find one around this price or lower. And while I like the Duffalo Bar, I'd even recommend trying to find a used Buffalo Bar over buying a Duffalo Bar new as well.

Will attach a pic later, but I bought an EliteFTS SSB during that 15% off moving sale, got to break it in for the first time today. Glorious. Gains incoming. Especially stoked because I will no longer be aggravating my elbow tendinitis and tearing up my shoulders low bar squatting 2x a week, which may translate to some bench press gains. I can already tell this is gonna be a great investment.

Thanks for the input, I'll have to keep an eye out for something used or bite the bullet on Adler's or NYBB's Buffalo/Ox bar. One concern I do have is using them on the monolift attachments, seems like the downward angle of the bar resting on the hooks would pull the Lever arms inward. And if I used my regular j-hooks then my Beautiful mech-sessory becomes a paperweight.

I have had my 13mm single prong PF belt for over a year, its the best belt Ive ever used, its stiff but doesn't hurt to wear, i have the solid 13mm leather no suede.its still in mint condition besides little paint chips where the prong hits the belt buckle, workth every penny, in fact i reccomend them to everyone.
He actually sent me a belt that the color scheme was not exactly as i ordered and made it look weird, he told me to keep that belt and let me design a totally new belt of my choosing and now i have my current belt, i got the new belt 2 days after i designed it, and i gave the other belt(nothing wrong with it just colors and stitching was wrong) to my friend and now he reccomend them to everyone, best CS ive ever come across and he is a overall just nice guy.Pgh PA, mediocre power lifter, @Brookline_Barbell

First experience with Titan, small order but DAMN that came fast and it looks really nice for $20 shipped. Bodybuilding friend of mine has been using this lately and swears by it, feels pretty darn good with Db's. Can't wait to test it out with the Curl bar soon!

Our new 12” titan log came today. This was just in time for my shoulder workout so I got some pressing in. We started with a CFF 9" log this year, so my wife could use it too. I've outgrown it and I wanted a bigger log that is easier to roll along my body for log clean and press.
Initial thoughts on the Titan log: balance is fine, even with the "Titan" cutout only on one side. The handle spacing is good for me, not too wide or narrow. The finish is typical of my other Titan stuff, not great looking but not horrible. I was surprised that the diameter of the loading pins weren't 1.9" like my other log or my axle and most strongman stuff. If anything its just over 2" since my OSO collars were snug on it. My calibrated plates likely would be tight, but my regular olympic plates all fit on great. The ends were plugged with cheapo plastic caps that popped out in shipping.
Overall its a crazy good value for $165 shipped and I'm pleased with the purchase.Last edited by Narc1911; 10-19-2017 at 10:31 PM.
