Obviously, I do not spin test my sleeves on my bars. So this morning, between the sets, I did it with 45lb bumper. Man, it looked like it was spinning forever . So stopped it and timec it . It is little more than 90 secs approximately. Both the sleeves give or take couple of secs, spin the same amount of time.
Now, the vulcan elite, probably spins for 20 to 30 secs. This is my guess. But it is stiff as hell.

Bearing VS. Bushing
I have noticed some minor differences in the performance of bearings vs bushing sleeves, nothing groundbreaking but definitely a positive for a few movements. Feels a little more comfortable on the wrists for standing Military press, wide grip bench press (not sure why), and barbell pullovers. I expect lying tricep extensions would reap the same benefit of the extra rotation, may have to use the REP bar instead of my specialty bar tomorrow just to see how it feels. None of them are primary movements so I'm guessing most people wouldn't notice a difference, but they are all on my weekly regiment so it's a welcomed benefit!
Squats and deadlifts I did not notice any functional difference, and bench press I'm still feeling out. I noticed during bench that if you do not lock your wrists tight you can roll the bar forward/backward pretty easily, almost a similar feeling the the instability of pressing with a specialty barbell but not nearly as extreme. Anyone else out there experience the same thing bench pressing with a bearing barbell? Regardless I think the spin, even though not 100% necessary, is freaking bad@ss! Especially with a revolver style plate, I find myself going downstairs just to feel the bar up a couple times a day LOL.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

I got this about two weeks ago, but had to do a pretty good refurb job on it because it was pretty beat up. I had to sell my Atlantis Cable Step Up because it was massive and didnt have the room for it. I figured this platform would be the next best thing, and would save tons of room.

After a couple of years wanting one but not really knowing much about them beyond 'get a used commercial one' I got this old spin bike over the weekend, for the lofty price of £20.
It was a single blurry image on ebay that I overlooked at first, but glad I took the time to inspect it closer.
Was reasonably clean, but have since dismantled it, cleaned it, the resistance pad has a lot of life in it and replaced the leveling feet and the roller wheels.
I think the amount of stainless steel on this thing comes in at way more than £20 on its own.
The guy even threw in some concrete plastic covered dumbbells, at least the collars come in handy on my standard plates.
Think its my top ebay bargain, with my body solid commercial bench just behind at £60.

Not what I wanted to come home to today, my reverse hyper was deliveres only to unpack it and find that FedEx bent a piece of the frame that was 3/16 steel and chipped everything up. Edge is sending me touch up paint and making a new piece for the frame and told me to bend this piece back in place so I can use it til then. Full review will be posted in the coming days.

Got it all together and trying it out now just doing low weight high rep and can feel a great pump in my lower back. There is some thing that I'd like to see done different on this but ill hold off on making to much judgement til I get some use on it.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I hadn't seen these before. Are they out of production now? They don't show up on the site. Anyways, they look really easy to adjust. Nice long handle & a lot of surface area to tighten. I wonder if the knurling is like their bars, lol. Any reason you bought these over Elieko/Ivanko?
Oh, did you order any plates yet?Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

I'm not sure if they are not being manufactured anymore but I did find them at Extreme Global Fitness - which I noticed these collars came from Gardina CA so they are close to AB.
I tried them last night and they seem easier to adjust than my Ivanko COC-2.5kg collars.
Sometimes the spindle on my Ivanko collars gets locked up... I don't think these AB collars will have that issue. I also think these collars look nicer too 👍
The Eleiko Competition collars look identical to the Ivanko collars so I wanted to try a different collar.
Still waiting on Rogue calibrated PL plates because I added more Legendary stuff to my Legend order 😬
I ordered a couple 3193s olympic plate holders so that I could position my weights near the machines. I'm getting lazier and don't like walking plates back and forth lol. These plate holders take up about 18" x 18" footprint each.
