Resurrecting my dead gym
I’ve decided to go all in for Legend… why not they’re awesome!
I did cheat however and used a 9’ Rogue Cage for my boxing rig… only because I didn’t think Legend had anything I could use in place of it.
I’m cleaning out my garage and decluttering to make more room…

This is in the works soon… I’m thinking of staying with the color scheme except changing the lower frame from shiny bare steel to silver vein and the white logo plates to silver vein (I’ll probably paint the area behind the laser cut logo with black or white paint for Legend to contrast. What do you guys think? Any suggestions
Or I was thinking maybe I’ll buy some thin sheet #8 stainless steel for the Legend logo…
My order is in the works. Lead time is 12 freaking weeks “holy cr@p”
I decided to order some polished SS sheet for the Legend logoLast edited by Nebamartinez; 07-06-2022 at 04:49 PM. Reason: Order is in now I can’t wait for this space eating beast

I know at least for me dips have been a staple in my chest routine for as long as I can remember… After years of torquing my wrists and elbows on my RC rack dip stand… no more! The angle was too parallel and the pipe diameter too small.
So, I finally found exactly what I’ve wanted for years… A dip stand that doesn’t take up much room, is built like a tank and that folds against the wall when not in use. A little plug for Rogers Strength Equipment: the angle and diameter of the 2.5” tubing seems to be spot on for me and my two sons. The old dip attachment I have is now relegated to being used for low bench dips.

Now that belt is sweet looking. Love the functionality of it… ordering mine now! Thank you!
I have a love/hate relationship with my Inzer Lever belt… I love it when it fits and I absolutely hate it when I’m fatter lol. Now if I could just stay thinner…!
…I couldn’t pass up a blemished Duffalo bar lol. Damn it I started out with <$100 in my Kabuki cart… you know how it goes ha haLast edited by Nebamartinez; 07-05-2022 at 06:00 PM. Reason: Duffalo bar oh my

Thanks man! Yes it is a tank and the linear bearings are very smooth. I just wished it was made a little more accommodating for short people. The lower crossmember is kind of in the way for me while doing toe presses. I have to close the seat angle or put another pad behind me to have enough clearance to do them..

The holes lined up pretty well they just needed to be a little bigger, only took a couple minutes with a drill to make it work. Don't think that calf raise was one of mine, I've never owned a Rae Crowther before. Had an SST I, believe that sorta looked like an early model but I could never find much information about it. My main calf work these days is done on the belt squat machine.

The loading of plates is not bad, it would be nice to have it be easier but one thing worth noting is the "hole" is actually oval shapped so it's not too difficult to load. It's a good idea to use spacers, I use 5 lb change plates and that's cool because you can work in increments of 50 (45 lb + 5 lb)
I've used the Rogue Rhino, the Pit Shark and my own version of the Sorinex J*Squat made out of Rogue lever arms, a DIY plyo box setup and the Madewell Strength arm (do not buy).
Overall I would rank this as the best belt squat modality by a very large margin, and second would be simply using plyo boxes. I feel the Rogue Rhino to be a nice machine that can do cool stuff but slightly overrated in the belt squat department, and the Pit Shark to be really nice as well but just too big and pricey for most people. Never used a "Wenning" style like the Titan or Bells of Steel but they look like they wold work well for the money. No war but class war

The Pit Shark isn't a popular leverage belt squat from what I've seen, takes too many plates to load and the price tag is bloated. The Titan is essentially an 'economy' version of the Wenning, it's performs suprisingly well for the money and would still be my #1 recommendation for someone just getting into belt squats and has a sub 500lb Barbell squat. Currently using the Edge Fitness Deluxe Belt squat and I'm very happy with it overall, provides great depth and the handle attachments make it incredibly versatile. The SquatMax MD seems incredibly popular, but I just can't get over their shady marketing tactics.

Not sure if helpful but I've used older Westside units on platforms similar to Rogue's Rhino and now own a Mech6. I'd say the leverage on the Mech unit is 95% of the feel/results...maybe more, certainly not "better" but not sure if it's really any worse.
I have not tried an Edge or Titan but I'd ensure that the chain can be attached straight down - that's the most important and I think Edge has this covered as I've looked at their designs. Some units I see on ********, similar to Mech's and Sorinex, have really short arms and with the plates it forces someone to stand back placing the chain at an angle forward. Squatmax is designed to be vertical so no issue there. Really depends on what you want. It's not a complicated movement for a machine or lever so easy to narrow down what's important to you.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Made a few purchases. I got the handle for IM SuperBench. I also got the seat for the IM Hyper extension attachment, so it's free standing now, can also be used for their lat tower if I ever decide to get one. Lastly I got the Titan T-3 Short Squat Stand along with the half rack conversion kit, spotter arms, land-mine, and plate holders. I've ordered another 4 pack of plate holders, wasn't sure how much room I'd have. I'll do a review on the squat stand, but so far it's very sturdy, and meets my needs of being able to fit under my garage door. I think the squat stand finishes my gym as far as needs go. Now it's just wants, better plates, newer model PT Lever Gym, and anything else that may come to mind.
