How can i possibly gain weight with this work schedule?

I am simply looking to gain muscle mass. i just got a new job and hours, my hours are M-F from 7am-5pm, and when i tell you we have 30 minute break and that is IT throughout a 10 hour day i mean it. we have no 5-10 minute breaks, and it is construction site. So i do not have a microwave or anything. I am about to go get a yetti cooler but i do not know what to put in it for my 30 minute break. Please help with some high calorie easy Non microwavable ideas. i am not too worried about breakfast and dinner since i can have those at home. But i also have to drive 1 hour to work and back so my day starts easy and ends late. Thanks for any advice

It takes just a few hundred extra calories for most typical bodybuilding style surpluses.

People make a big deal out what often amounts to an extra 2 scoops of PB on some crackers. Or a large glass of milk.

So.. when it comes to be 5 p.m, is there automatically a little gnome with an axe blocking your fridge from being opened?

I don't recall saying there was. So your advice is to eat first thing in the morning and wait all the way till 5pm? obviously not. Plus i wouldn't get home till 6ish since it is an hour drive. Im trying to figure out things to eat for lunch. Not dinner

    1. PB & J sandwiches - A couple could be close to 1,000 cal total depending on size.

    2. Quick chili with crushed tortilla chips - 400+ cal
    - 1 oz crushed tortilla chips (add chips in right before you eat so they keep their crunch)
    - 4 tbsp salsa
    - 1 tbsp EVOO
    - 1/2 cup kidney beans
    - 1 tsp chipotle hot sauce
    - Tastes better warm, but still great cold.

Eat a lot of calories for breakfast and dinner. Eat whatever you want/whatever you can for lunch, what is the problem?

You do like everyone else with a FT job Choose high calorie foods at your short lunch break and while in the car to/from work. Most people who work long hours end up getting fat, so just follow their lead, right? Nuts, high calorie sandwiches, avocado sandwiches, whole milk in a cooler, you can easily knock off 1000 calories to/from work while driving with those. Take an hour on Sunday to prep any cooked foods and maybe a Wednesday night too (to keep it a bit fresher). Buy a couple of roast chickens and chop them up, put them in a container for the cooler each day.

I wish I had a problem of, "How am I going to gain weight because of [x]?" Mine usually are the other way, haha.

Anyway, nuts and seeds are great portable ways to get calories. Many types of carbs are, too, but I generally think they're less nutritious. You could go with something like KIND & Strong bar to make it easier to eat while on the move.
