I received a mini container of each of the 3 flavors of Controlled Labs PROMore protein
that will hitting stores very soon in 4lb containers so they had a promo so that a few
forum members could try out and review the three flavors which were all flavors that
you usually don't see companies come out with for their first protein offering on flavors.
I did a mini log on these three flavors and this is the link to that log where I posted more
pics and I also posted recipes for a few things that I made using this protein.

Ingredients:
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Hydrolysate, Milk Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein, and Calcium Caseinate), Pineapple Fruit Powder, Natural & Artificial Flavor, Xanthan Gum Powder, Cassia Bark Powder, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, and Silicon Dioxide.
Ingredients - Pretty straight forward multi blend where whey is the more dominant protein
with a couple of forms of slower digesting milk proteins toward the end of the protein blend.
The only thing missing from this profile is a dose of digestive enzymes that might benefit
someone who might be a little lactose intolerant but other than that a pretty decent ingredient
profile.
Mix ability- I mixed all my shakes in a shaker cup with about 5 oz of cold water and the powder
mixed up well with no clumping of the protein but each of the flavors did have some foam on top
and it seemed like all 3 flavors foamed up the same way but the foam didn't effect the taste in
any way.
Orange Cream Pop- This flavor I compared it to Dymatize's Orange Dreamsicle which is a very
good orange flavored protein and they capture a nice blend of orange and cream with about
a 60% orange and 40% cream. CL Orange Cream Pop was much more dominant on the sweet
orange flavor and this was more like a 90% orange 10% cream but the orange flavor was like
the outside of an orange pop SWEET but no bitterness and very refreshing and enjoyable.
Excellent flavor to be mixed with yogurt, recipes, and of course in a shake. I am definitely
looking forward to combining this flavor with choc in the future when I purchase a container
and I'm sure it will taste amazing with choc.
Snicker Doodle Cookie- I was comparing this flavor to PES's Snicker Doodle and right from
the first sip of my shake I knew this was entirely different from PES Select. CL Snicker Doodle
was not heavy on cinnamon but instead you could taste other spices such as nutmeg, allspice,
and hint of cinnamon. PES Snicker Doodle definitely captures more of that true Snicker Doodle
flavor BUT what I didn't like about PES's was the overly sweet bitter after taste which you
did not get at all with CL Snicker Doodle AKA Spiced Cookie flavor. I'm a HUGE fan of the
type of spices that I mentioned this protein tasted like so the flavor ranked right up there
with the Orange Cream Pop and YES another flavor I will be getting in the future and I strongly
recommend this one for spice lovers and if your not a fan of spices then this one is not for you.
Frosted Cinnamon Bun- This flavor caught me by surprise cause after tasting the Snicker Doodle
I figured this was just gonna be another run of the mill cinnamon flavor but I was wrong. I was
comparing this one to AI Sports Cinnamon Roll which they did a fabulous job on the flavor of this
protein which captures the doughy roll taste with a sweet icing flavor and a hint of cinnamon to
make it one of the best cinnamon proteins out there. CL Frosted Cinnamon Bun didn't get that
bun or frosting flavor but what they did get was a cinnamon sugar type flavor that you would
taste throughout a cinnamon bun which was very flavorful, sweet, but not overly sweet or bitter.
It was definitely different from all of the other cinnamon proteins that I've been going though
for the past two years and YES I would definitely grab a 4lb container of this cause it taste
completely different from the Snicker Doodle and I do love cinnamon and this tasted fantastic
in yogurt, cottage cheese, and it worked in one recipe that I used it in but I am looking forward
in using it in others.
Overall- Even though all three of the flavors didn't hit the flavor description exactly they were
ALL very enjoyable to drink and use in things other than shakes so for me I WILL be picking up
one of each flavor of the 4lbers once I make room which I've been doing since trying these sample
containers. The flavors all scored a solid 9/10 on flavoring again for me they all tasted good and
overall rating gets a very respectable 8.5/10. and I like the idea that they came out with unique
flavors instead of doing the common safe flavors of van and choc.
Thanks to Controlled Labs and their reps for the opp to try out and review this protein and I
look forward to adding a 4lb container of each flavor to my protein closet in the future once
I need protein.

Yup, love Cinnamon Bun but you are correct...it's more of a Cinnamon-sugar taste as opposed to an actual cinnamon roll. Still love it though!

These are easy to make and you can use whatever bread you like but I like Sprouted Multi Grain
so I keep it healthy
Add about 5-6 oz of unsweetened almond milk to a bowl then add 1 whole egg, 1 tbs of liquid
vanilla extract, sprinkle of cinnamon, and 1/2 scoop of CL ProMore Snicker Doodle Cookie and whip
the ingredients together then take the bread and dip it into the batter making sure it gets well
coated then place each slice on a nonstick pan that has been lightly coated with oil of choice
and cook the bread on both sides then plate and make the frosting.
Frosting - Add 1 70cc scoop of CL Snicker Doodle protein to a bowl and add a few drops of water
and stir briskly until you get a spreadable consistency and spread it all over each of the slices
of bread and ENJOY!!!
