Hey everyone! I was one of the lucky few chosen by CL to log their new protein, PROmore. It has 23g of high quality protein per serving and comes in 3 flavours: Frosted Cinnamon Bun, Orange Cream Pop, and Snickerdoodle Cookie.
I've been asked to get creative in the kitchen so I'll try to whip some things up and show the range of these tantalizing flavours. Major thanks to RaginAZN and Controlled Labs for hooking me up (I also found a little something extra in there too, Ragin ). I've never done a log before so this should be fun! First post coming soon!

Frosted Cinnamon Bun Take #1 - PROmore-dial Ooze
Behold, Mount Gainsuvius. A dormant mashed sweet potato volcano. Long considered a peaceful pile o' taters, this mountain would soon erupt with the force of a thousand DYELs.
On a calm February evening, a slow rumble that most certainly wasn't my stomach growling echoed throughout the house. Without warning, a gooey frosty lava began to erupt from Mount Gainsuvius. A thick smell of cinnamon filled the air. The lambs and beans had no chance, there were no survivors.
Lava is 1 scoop Frosted Cinnamon Bun PROmore and 250mL of milk.
Protein notes: scoop was on top (hallelujah). Intense smell of cinnamon, both in the container and in the shake. Absolutely ZERO clumping which is always great. I taste the cinnamon first, followed closely by the creamy "doughiness". Feels very balanced, like I'm actually tasting a liquid cinnamon bun. And it goes great with the sweet potatoes (for those that haven't tried, sweet potatoes + cinnamon = win). Can't wait to try the other 2 flavours!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Orange Cream Pop Take #1 - Terry's Chocolate PROmorange
This was me trying to recreate one of these in drink form. I kept it relatively simple.
1 cup dark chocolate almond milk
1 cup 1% white milk
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 scoop Orange Cream Pop PROmore
Blended until it was a nice creamy consistency. No I did not whack it on the table before drinking, but good things did happen. :P
The drink was very smooth and very sweet, very creamy due to the yogurt. I could definitely taste the orange, it wasn't overpowered or non-existent. If I were to make it again I'd play around with the amounts to make it a bit less sweet but if you've got a sweet tooth you'd probably love it. Haven't decided what else I'm going to use the Orange Cream Pop for. May just end up trying it straight in milk and water to see how it would do as an every day workhorse protein. But we shall see!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Snickerdoodle Cookie Take #1 - Snickerwaffles
I imagined both the cinnamon and snickerdoodle would work great in something like this, so having already used the cinnamon I opted for the snickerdoodle this time. Recipe is:
1 cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 cup almond milk (would have used regular milk but didn't have any)
1 egg
1 scoop PROmore Snickerdoodle Cookie
Whisk all ingredients together and pour into a waffle maker (or frying pan, this works great for pancakes as well). Mine yielded about 2 1/4 waffles.
Result:
These turned out pretty well. Tore them apart and rearranged them to fit all the pieces on the plate. Then garnished each pocket with a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt. #foodporn
Aesthetics aside, I was ready to dive in. And oh my god these are FANTASTIC! The snickerdoodle is so light and subtle, just the right amount of flavour. The yogurt compliments it very nicely as well. Having tried all 3 flavours now, I can't say I have a clear favourite yet. All 3 are great!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Frosted Cinnamon Bun Take #2 - Raisin Cinnamon PROatmeal
Standard oatmeal. I've made this with other cinnamon proteins like COR Whey and Whey Power in the past so figured I'd give this one a shot as well.
Recipe is:
1 cup oats
1/2 cup raisins
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 scoop Frosted Cinnamon Bun PROmore
Add boiling water to melt the oil and mix everything together. Turned out pretty well. The protein mixed in flawlessly, no clumping.
Frosted Cinnamon Bun goes great in oatmeal. I noticed more of a cinnamon and sugar taste than a creamy cinnamon bun this time around. Still made for a solid meal!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Those waffles look great, I enjoyed my snickerdoodle pancake. Idk about the greek yogurt though. I probably would prefer to dip them in milk. Was the Frosted Cinnamon Bun overly sweet in that amount of oats, or on your mashed sweet potatoes? From my experience with it, it seems like it would be. I haven't tried those ideas though.

The greek yogurt worked well to keep the waffles from being too dry. I never thought of dipping in milk though! Will definitely try that next time. The Frosted Cinnamon Bun was very sweet in the sweet potatoes so I only used a small amount of it on the potatoes themselves, then diluted the rest to drink after. In oatmeal it was decent, might have been a tad sweet with the raisins but not disgustingly so. The waffles have been the best concoction so far.

Orange Cream Pop Take #2 - Shake
Just doing a plain old shake for this one as I'm interested in how it can pull its weight as a day to day workhorse.
2 cups 1% milk
1 scoop Orange Cream Pop PROmore
Mixed up flawlessly again, PROmore really earning that "no clump" that CL puts on the label. Taste was again very sweet, though less so than the dark chocolate smoothie. I tasted the orange, the cream, and possibly another fruit too. Looking at the label I see Pineapple Fruit Powder as an ingredient, that must be it. It's very smooth, even scooping the powder out of the tub you can tell it's very fine. The only other orange cream protein I've tried is Musclepharm's Combat. This is comparable, with the added benefit of being filler-free too.ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Snickerdoodle Cookie Take #2 - SnickerFrench DoodleToast
Similar to the waffles, but doing French toast this time. Recipe is:
4 slices of bread
3 eggs
Splash of milk
1 scoop Snickerdoodle Cookie PROmore
Whisk eggs, milk, and PROmore together in a bowl while preheating a frying pan to medium heat. Soak each slice of bread in the bowl until it is evenly coated, then place on frying pan. The amount of eggs/bread you need may vary. I ended up needing 4 fairly large slices of bread to mop up my 3 egg mixture. So if you only want to do 2 slices, you could probably get away with 1 egg.
They turned out really well. Snickerdoodle is an excellent baking protein. They smell and taste faintly of cinnamon. I contemplated using maple syrup but at the risk of it being too sweet (though I think it still would have been fine) I ultimately decided on busting out the Greek yogurt again. I also tried Clarko's suggestion of dipping them in milk. Both methods worked well and made for a very tasty meal.
Snickerdoodle may be my favourite of the 3 so far. I haven't decided what I'm going to use my last scoop of each for yet but I'm thoroughly enjoying all of them. More to come!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Frosted Cinnamon Bun Take #3 - PROmore Pancakes
Decided to use my last scoop of Frosted Cinnamon Bun to see how it goes head to head with Snickerdoodle for baking. Since I already made waffles and French toast, I had to make some flapjacks! Recipe is:
1 cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 scoop Frosted Cinnamon Bun PROmore
Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl then pour desired amount onto a preheated frying pan. This made 6 pancakes about 4-5" in diameter each. If you wanted larger ones the size of a frying pan, it would probably make 3. Of course you can thin the mix out with more water/milk if you wanted a bigger batch.
Like the previous examples, these turned out great. A light cinnamon smell wafted through the kitchen. Tried a bite dry and they're perfect. Light and fluffy with a mild cinnamon taste. Would go great with standard syrup, or those fancy dessert pancakes where you add whip, berries, chocolate, etc. I desired something a bit thicker so i spread peanut butter over the tops of them and ate them with my hands like a barbarian. Banana would have gone well with them but I didn't think of that at the time haha. Very satiating!
I'm not sure which works better for baking, the Frosted Cinnamon Bun or the Snickerdoodle Cookie as they've both been fantastic. I've got an idea I'm going to try with the Orange Cream Pop hopefully today and will let you all know how it goes.
Stay tuned!Last edited by RunningTall; 03-12-2017 at 03:51 PM.

Orange Cream Pop Take #3 - Do You Know The PROmuffin Man?
The one on Drury Lane? As soon as I knew I was doing this log I began to brainstorm ideas for the Orange Cream Pop as I knew it would be the hardest. You can toss Cinnamon Bun/Snickerdoodle into a lot of standard recipes and be fine but the Orange seemed more difficult to integrate. Then it dawned on me: Orange Cranberry.
Recipe:
1 cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Pancake & Waffle Mix (I know, it seems like I use this for everything lol, it's so convenient!)
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 scoop Orange Cream Pop PROmore
1 cup raw or frozen cranberries
Whisk everything together in a mixing bowl while preheating oven to 350F. You can then either grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin cups like I did. The batch makes around 10-12 muffins depending on how much batter you pour into each cup. I only did about 3/4 of the way full because I didn't want them to overflow, but it looks like I could have gotten away with filling them a little higher. Regardless, into the oven! Bake for 12 minutes then check them every 2 minutes with a toothpick. Mine ended up taking 20 minutes to achieve the golden brown look.
The little guys came out great! Now on to tasting. Delicious! The cranberry is a bit overpowering but I can still make out the orange hiding in there. I intended to try them out with some things like Greek yogurt, peanut butter, etc. but I accidentally ate them all in one sitting and forgot... Next time!
Notes for improvement: Next time I would attempt to balance the orange-cranberry ratio more (unless you like them sour). Either 2 scoops PROmore or 1/2-2/3 cup of cranberries should do the trick. Also they really stuck to my muffin cups so I think next time I'll try adding a tablespoon or 2 of coconut oil to see if that makes them easier to peel off the cups. Delicious nonetheless!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)

Snickerdoodle Cookie Take #3 - Cream of PROmore
Sorry for the delay guys, away from my computer the past week. Was reading a thread a while ago with everyone talking about cream of wheat/rice so decided to use my last scoop to give it a shot!
Recipe:
1/3 cup Cream of Wheat hot cereal
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup raisins
1 scoop Snickerdoodle Cookie PROmore
Heat milk and water in a pot to almost boiling. Slowly add cereal, raisins, and PROmore while stirring. Simmer for about 3 minutes. This thickens up very quickly and will burn easily so I recommend stirring constantly and stay in the kitchen to keep an eye on it.
Came out great! Minimal lumps. You can add milk on top to cool it off and make it more cereal-y if you want. Tastes delicious, not overpowering with the cinnamon/sweetness. I think I enjoy the cream of wheat even more than the oatmeal. Would probably work equally well with the Frosted Cinnamon Bun. If you want to sub out the cup of milk for water instead it would also turn out fine. Final thoughts later today!ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I was part of the Ultra 2016 Thread Crew ♪ (‿ˠ‿)
