Cool, but that is from 2016 and food prices have a lot of regional variability as well, but a ballpark chart is nice.
    Bench: 320
    Squat: 375
    Deadlift: 495

I think eggs are still the cheapest protein, provided you're stealing the eggs.

I've heard squirell meat is inexpensive and widely available, too.

Probably gallon milk is the cheapest, if you don't mind the lactose and calories.
Cottage cheese might be a better second.
Protein at the store bulk bins is next.

Vegetables such as spinach and zucchini have a high protein ratio but would cost a ton, fill too much space, and have too many other nutrients. They are better as tasty micro supplements. Same for yeast and spirulina. I will buy spirulina soon for the carotinoids. Can't eat enough though to use for protein. Same for yeast.

I suppose I should add up how much I spend on protein powder.

Whey is by far the most inexpensive whole protein source. You’ll always hear people complaining about the supposed money sink that is protein powder, but you’re just paying more upfront for something that’s going to last.

Edit: Hm, actually, I guess milk is cheaper by about $10... though I stopped buying gallons because they somehow kept expiring before the printed date. I mean like a week prior... something’s up with milk quality in my area lately, I think.

Complete amino profile? I mean I guess you can say the same for the cost effectiveness of oats + beans but... I’m not about to eat that much oats + beans to meet my protein quota.
