When I post links to pictures
The picture does not show in the post.

Picture links not showing.
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

FWIW, I'm seeing this too.
Here's are two examples, one a photo from an external site and another from an attachment posted to the Equipment Crew thread:
1:
2:
The behavior that I see is that the image will show up immediately after being posted, but when I come back to the thread, I either see no image at all or a broken image icon. If I right click on the broken image icon and open the image in a new tab, I see that it's attempting to fetch the image using the https protocol when (in both cases), the original link was specified using http. So, it appears that something in the forum software is (incorrectly) performing an http --> https mapping.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

AMEN!
Have just noticed this. I think it's doing the mapping when there is more than one image from the same site.
ie. I have several images in a post linking to the same host, none specified as https in the VB code. Go away from thread, come back, one image displays, the others are all broken, and they are all trying to access https.
In my case 'fixing' it would require purchasing an SSL cert, I'd rather the urls I entered weren't screwed around with.Training Log : https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175236371

Looks like it might be fixed now. Both of the photos that I posted earlier in this thread are showing up now.
Though, for the photo from my site, I got it working by turning on SSL so that the https protocol would work. The acid test is to see if it's possible to display a photo from a site which doesn't have SSL enabled.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I'll provide a brief explanation. You can read a lot more about this stuff elsewhere if you're interested.
When surfing the web, your web browser will typically fetch pages using either the HTTP protocol or the HTTPS protocol. HTTPS is basically the same as HTTP except that connection to the website occurs within an encrypted channel using the SSL (secure socket layer) protocol. Use of an encrypted channel is important to applications such as online banking, but there has been a recent push by Google and others to use HTTPS for everything. (See: https://https.cio.gov/everything/ .)
At some point within the past year, the bodybuilding.com forums changed the way that pictures are being loaded. If you provided a link such as http://some.site/pic.jpg, the server would instead search for https://some.site/pic.jpg. (Note: http -> https.) This worked fine on sites that support the https protocol (which means that they possess an SSL cert which costs money), but it didn't on sites which don't support https. As a consequence, many images would not display, even those images which were uploaded to bodybuilding.com!
To make matters even more confusing, these images would be displayed both when previewing the message and right after it was posted (to the author of the post), but would disappear when revisiting the thread later.
Anyway... it's at least partially fixed now. A few weeks ago, I noticed that images uploaded to this site had started displaying again. But I noticed that there were still some images with off-site locations that were still not being displayed. It may be the case that it's fully working now - I haven't checked.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I just noticed a broken picture in the It's Caturday thread. It uses an URL with the http protocol:
(It's a picture of a cat in a bunny suit.)
As noted in earlier posts, bodybuilding.com forums is attempting to map http to https and the site in question does not support https. (This shouldn't be that hard to fix!)▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I've been noticing the same thing as well. Only way I've been able to get around it right now is by using tinyurl.com.
Pain in the butt to have to do that step, but it seems to be working since it provides a https web address for pics on a http web address.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

For viewers,
one way to circumvent this problem and to see the images hidden,
click Reply button and then Go Advanced button.
Now in Topic Review bellow, you can see all the pictures of previous posts.
You are in a kind of preview mode. There url link starts with http not https.
I hope this would help you.🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022

You can use Google Firebase as your primary hosting service, right now it's available, (I don't know about the future though) free and "https cert with it". Hope this helps you.

Another workaround is to paste your link to an image using the http protocol into the service provided by TinyURL - see: https://tinyurl.com/ . Use the provided link - which does use the https protocol - for your image.
