It was between marketing and finance. I think I am leaning more towards finance right now.

You laugh but I had a offer to go to TruGreen about 3 years ago. Not nearly worth it though considering the travel I would have had to do.

My vote personally goes towards Business. There are MILLION things one could do with a 4 year business degree, while Marketing is quite saturated, and Economics you would almost have to get an advanced degree to make really worth it.

I mean I love talking about science, and I'll be able to literally talk about it to others.

I plan on making my classroom fun too, with experiments, lots of hands on stuff, including dissections. I feel that science is best taught and learned when you can experience it, not when you are reading off a chalk board or powerpoint and then tested on it.

I've always wanted to teach. And I mean teach like Junior High Science. It should only take me 18-24 months to get my degree in teaching with what I have completed. And then pass the Praxis, which a stick in a bucket could pass around here.


I mean I love teaching science to my girls, and so I'm going to pursue it full time. Plus I can have critters and strange animals in my classroom

They are never, ever hiring.


I've submit my resume', been to interviews, job fairs, etc. I always get the same thing "we are going to need people when the workforce starts to retire". Cause most in the field have been in the field for 20-30 years.

But they aren't retiring. With every small downturn, they stay in their job. I mean, its excellent pay, awesome benefits, and an awesome schedule.

No one wants to leave it. And I'm quite tired of waiting. At least I have my pre-reqs out of the way, I'll just have to take a few more science classes and some teaching classes and I know I'll have a job teaching. They are in short supply here.
