'Better'? That's a completely subjective term...
Are we talking:
-Performance? Top speed? Acceleration?
-Reliability?
-Affordability (for if repairs are needed)?
-Status?
I mean come on bruh... You can buy some new BMWs for 40k. You could probably buy nearly 85% of the cars on the market with that amount - new and/or used
In terms of Corvette: their looks are a niche - and they all look nearly the same. Some are fast, sure. But they've got their issues as well.Canadian American dual citizen

Lawl opie kitten me?
Yeah, sure...if you're a complete cuck to straight line speed.
Have you ever seen the interior of a c6 before? Lawl. It's got the fit and finish of a 4th gen ford taurus SHO. c7 or die, and that's way out of your price range.
Give me even a used e46 m3 with a dinan package that'll slap the doors off that chitty whorevette, maintain resale value better, kill a track better, and pull way better pooce in just about any venue outside of a Kenny Chesney concert.

Excuse me? It's a legit question.
You're still entirely too vague when you say 'better'.
I mean a year from now a used Tesla Model S will be making 0-60 in 2.8 seconds - that's pretty awesome considering it's electric compared to your corvette
And when I suggested BMW - I meant the E36 model: easily modifiable and seen often on the roads/tracks. Much cheaper than 40kCanadian American dual citizen

Had a 95 Corvette, driving down the freeway at a steady 65 in light rain, did a 360, not a scratch on it, said goodbye to American Cars. Only German now Audi Q5 AWD for the wife, S3 for me. There is a reason American Cars do not sell in Europe, they are chit. Germans are the only ones that build from the ground up.

How are you comparing a z06 to a gt mustang? Two completely different cars. Let alone how stupid it is comparing cars when you start talking about mods. I've run a few H/C/I z06 and they are no joke from a roll. However, 80% of owners can't launch them.
Also, no way you are stating that 505hp is fast. I have an 03 cobra with a tvs currently at 613whp (switching to e85 in the spring which will break 700, and that is still not considered fast).
With all of that being said, I would just pick up a GS if I was looking at c6's.
