I just don't bother talking defense with anyone regarding Curry. I think he's a very good defender when I watch games, but people go very heavily based on reputation when it comes to defense because it is so difficult to quantify. Most people already set their mind on Curry being a bad defender without needing to see him play a game because he isn't physically imposing. Ricky Rubio is an example of IMO a really elite defender who also suffers from preconceived reputation based on appearance.
It just doesn't even matter much either way, because whether his defense is bad or elite, your point guard defense isn't going to be a major impact on your team defense either way (assuming they properly abide by their team's scheme without falling asleep). Replacing Curry with a "better" defender at point guard isn't going to improve the team defense significantly. I actually think it might hurt the defense, because basketball isn't played in a vacuum and everything that happens on offense (how much energy each player is expending, how involved they are, what their role is) will have an impact on the opposite side of the ball. If you can make a team of defensive roleplayers and 1 offensive superstar into an elite offense, then that offensive superstar will help your defense by helping your offense and allowing those other players to do what they can do on the floor.
So at the end of the day, the only people who really care are when they want a reason to arbitrarily rank a player in a certain spot in top 10 lists etc. No warriors fan and no Warriors coach or player has any concern about Curry's defense.***Successfully Masturbates Under the Cape While Getting a Haircut Crew***

Last time I checked, he only guards his man when klay is out meaning only 20% of the time. If you are so confident about curry's defensive prowess, just tell Kerr to let him go against Westbrook, cp3 etc for an entire game.
Lillard lighted his ass up with 50pts not even 2 months ago. But yeah you are right, he defends even better than kawhi.

You not realize why this is a fallacious argument? I could show you numbers that Kobe Bryant is nowhere near a top 10 all time player. Would you suddenly lend credence to that argument because I found numbers that support that theory?
Of course not you jackass. You linking a bball breakdown vid and an excel speadsheet is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
Curry is not an elite defender. He is ON an elite defense.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

guess the last time you checked must have been a long time ago considering he just guarded cp3 the entire second half and 85% of the game last week. also funny how you say dame lit curry for 50 when dame scored 21 of his 51 points in the 4th quarter (Curry didn't play at all in the 4th). also nobody is comparing his defense to kawhi. kawhi is way better defensively. different scopes of elite. curry is an elite defender for his position while kawhi is the best defender in the game.

If hes such a great defender then why does Kerr always put Steph on the least active player on offense?

Elite defender? Last time (I think, maybe second to last) GS played OKC, Curry tried guarding Westbrook on the first possession and got embarrassed when he drove right past Curry without even trying for the easy 2. Curry then switched to Dion Waiters for the rest of game lmao
Try naming a single elite defender that switches off the best player to play the worst one after getting burned. They don't exist, because elite defenders have egos the size of the moon. You think Tony Allen would have said "nah brah I don't want any of that, where's Waiters at?"***Canadian Crew***

Yeah and this is basically why it's not worth having back and forth's about Curry's defense. It's not a quantifiable thing so you'll just have people who already made up their minds and have watched much less than you have just say "nah" without giving any thought or even watching the video from the OP
Not worth the discussion, defensive reputation is pretty rarely the same as reality, especially for perimeter players.***Successfully Masturbates Under the Cape While Getting a Haircut Crew***

says the guy who isn't posting any facts/no footage/no anything to back up his opinion. just his word as if he's just some basketball scholar when he's just some ******* lebronie. phuck off you pos *******. you're wrong 90% of the time. you already exposed as yourself as knowing jack chit when you continue to double down on your kawhi is a role player rhetoric. last month you said the heat were garbage. lmao what do we know since that time the heat have the second best offense in the league and have been great. you were wrong like usual. of course you never admit you are wrong you just double down on your bullchit.

You just got Lusitania'd
Are you a basketball genius because you literally just parroted bball breakdowns opinion as your own? Have you EVER formed an original thought?
I'm confused where you pull these numbers. Wrong 90% of the time? Curry guarded Paul 85% of the game? Where are you pulling these numbers? Your butt?Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

what? so guarding the opposing team's best player and opposing point guard when your position is point guard is considered hiding these days? the thing is if curry was guarding reddick then you would just be saying that kerr is hiding curry on reddick because cp3 would just light him for 40/15. damn curry is such a scrub for not being able to guard 2 guys at once.
