I will use Lamar, Dak, Josh Allen, and Purdy (no CMC for this comparison)
Rankings 1-4 for each category (for turnovers, #1 will have the least amount of turnovers)
Total Yards:
1. Josh Allen (4,830)
2. Dak (4,758)
3. Lamar (4,499)
4. Purdy (4,424)
Total TD:
1. Josh Allen (44)
2. Dak (38)
3. Purdy (33)
4. Lamar (29)
Turnovers:
1. Dak (11)
2. Purdy (13)
3. Lamar (13)
4. Josh Allen (22)
(Purdy and Lamar were tied but this is a breakdown of their turnovers)
Purdy- 11 interceptions, 6 fumbles, 2 fumbles lost
Lamar- 7 interceptions, 11 fumbles, 6 fumbles lost
Passer Rating:
1. Purdy (113)
2. Dak (105.9)
3. Lamar (102.7)
4. Josh Allen (92.2)
QBR:
1. Purdy (72.7)
2. Dak (72.7)
3. Josh Allen (69.6)
4. Lamar (64.7)
So just out of these 4 QBs, he ranks 3rd in 3 of the categories and last in the other 2. The only thing he is technically 2nd in would be turnovers. Which he is tied with Purdy. However, he fumbled the ball twice as much so he is lucky it wasn't worse.
He also played in 16 games (Purdy did as well to Josh Allen and Dak's 17) so he possibly could have caught Dak in total yards (would have needed 259 against the Steelers who he plays his worst games against, in the pouring rain), would not have caught Purdy for total TD because they both played 16 games and he was 4 TD behind, passer rating and QBR he wasn't going to catch the guy in front of him, and it would come down to if him and Brock both played week 18, who had more turnovers to break that tie.
Just for the hell of it, this is where he ranks in the NFL for these basic/typical QB stats...He did have over 800 yards rushing though which is really good for a QB.
Passing Yards- 15th
Passing TD- 11th
Passer Rating- 4th
QBR- 4th*Pittsburgh Steelers Crew*

Stats don’t matter. He had a big game against the dolphins at the end of the year. A good game against the 9ers cause his D handed him great field position every time. And is black which counts for a lot
In reality Mahomes is the mvp, every year. The only person that should even be in the same breath as him is Allen.#BillsMafia

This post perfectly outlines that Lamar should not even be in the conversation for MVP
3000 passing yards and MVP absolutely do not go together
At this point I don’t even consider Lamar a top 5 QB
2-4 in the playoffs with a top rated O Line, defense and kicker just fukking lmao
Also fair to point out that at least 4-5 or Purdys INTs were drops by his receivers that bounced off their hands and into a defenders

It's wild isn't it. Hell Myles Garrett had (total) 13 tackles and 1 sack after Thanksgiving and he will win DPOY over Watt, Parsons, Crosby, Bland, etc. I agree with you when it comes to Mahomes though. Allen will get an MVP or 2 if they keep giving him a solid run game and a scheme where he doesn't have to do literally everything himself. He gets chit on for his turnovers but if he doesn't make something happen, nobody will.

Purdy should be the MVP if you're going off typical MVP standards and statistics. Crazy how he gets discredited for being on a stacked roster when the Ravens gave Lamar a historically good defense this year.
They also led the league in rushing and something I looked at was Lamar's contribution to that from a statistical standpoint. He had 821 rushing yards which was the 3rd highest of his career. If you took his worst year statistically rushing the football (695 yards) and replaced it with this year, the Ravens are still the top rushing team in the NFL with 2,535 rushing yards (136 yards more than the 2nd best rushing team). In 2021 and 2022, he had just 54 and 57 less rushing yards in 12 games played, than he did this year in 16 games. Same thing with TD. If you replace his rushing TD this year with his worst year, the Ravens are still tied for 2nd in rushing TD. So he didn't have some outlier rushing season that should propel him to the top of the MVP race. They had the best defense, the best run game, and the best kicker.*Pittsburgh Steelers Crew*
